my name is Nik, found this site and thought I might see if maybe someone more like me could be found here......I am quite odd and do unusual things(as I'm sure is the common experience here) and this is the first site just for us that I have found. I am 39 live with my best friend and service dog Kira onboard my sailboat......I find it easier to live MY life seperate from the other humans and the sailboat makes it easy to eliminate the interlopers......hoping someone with similar feelings might join me onboard and the journey wont be so lonely......

I agree with your signature entirely. My mother always took me sailing. There is nothing so wonderful as the wind and the sea and the sail. God speaks in the tides.

Prefer thunderstorm here, if it was not dangerous I would get a pool chair and lie down outside during summer night thunderstorm.

I know but I live in a apartment right now, so doesn't have a yard to put one in, nor a rooftoop

Welcome! I'm curious, how do you connect to the INternet if you're on a sailboat? And don't you get frustrated with so little personal space?

Me I would say he got a LOT of personal space while on his boat, just not a lot on walk on.

Satellite connection, cell phone connection if close enough to a coast that got a signal or just getting ashore and finding a connection

I love standing in the storm. The whole thing is so exciting and yet so calming. I really love that, particularly since I haven't seen the ocean in almost a year.

Hey Nik, Welcome to join in and talk with us! Im sure you will fit in well out of your short description
Living on a boat seemes to be really awesome!!
Its one of my dreams that probably never will come true. I love the ocean and the water but very very rarely take part of it. Its hard to imagine to live in the middle of it, wow!

I see others already have asked interesting and curious questions. It would be great if you stay and share more of your interesting way of living
and I cant help comming accross the thought of the film "Dead Calm" have you seen it?
