I'll have to agree also. Some of behaviour might come form either ADHD or Austims Spectrum.
I don't know what to think with the scripts (tying shoes, bathroom). I'm thinking he simply didn't remember to flush the toilet. When you placed to visual aid in the bathroom, he was reminded. Think of it this way, how many times have you forget to NOT flush the toilet, even though you had told yourself NOT to 10 seconds prior.

I remember getting in trouble once. I was told I couldn't ride my bike somewhere. Well, I didn't realize that I wasn't ALLOWED to. If this is the case for you, try being more literal (i.e. use "not allowed" instead of "can't") and provide the reason behind your statement.

I hope these are things that don't have to be fixed. I personally think that the socializing process goes a little too far in defining what is appropriate behaviour. Any fans of Huck Finn here?
