What is your first name? I prefer Shan-chan. Or Shan if you can't be bothered typing more letters : )

Age: 17 right now.

Location: Scotland

Hobbies and Interests: Japan and Jrock, fantasy novels, my novel, asian ball jointed dolls, and Japanese fashion. I also like studying neurotypical's behaviour...its fascinating.

Why are you here? Tbh, I'm a bit lonely and looking for more aspy people to be friends with. I only know 3 at my school and they are all males. I know another two females but I don't get to talk to them a lot any more.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I think I was....8? Primary 5.

Favorite subjects:

I used to like art before I got a teacher who didn't understand my need for coloured pencils >_<" Um...it's still fun just getting harder to feel emotionally attatched to the drawings any more.
I liked English because I loved Shakespeare and analysing the train of though the author was going through when he/she is writing and how the actions in the story effect the outcome. Essays are quite fun in that I found them easy but I hated having to memorise passages and lines. That's for Drama, not english. (I like Drama but our school doesn't teach it).

Year/Grade: 6th Year. Last year and no idea what to do next.

Favorite music: Jrock or heavy rock. Anything with beautiful well inspired music, a good drumbeat, and poetic lyrics.

Books: Any fantasy or unreal. Fiction that I can escape to another world in. I've never read lord of the rings but I did like the films. Loved them actually. I read the hobbit years ago. I was obsessed with Harry Potter because it got too popular and the twilight saga before it became a big thing. I still love Vampires though even though a lot of people have only gotten into vamps since the twilight "vege" vamps arrived on the scene...when the real vampires come to meet them...they'll get a surprize, but I'm going off the subject here...

TV shows/Movies: I like Scrubs because it's funny and the storyline is solid through the series yet you can pick it up from anywhere. I like Janitor....
Um, Spongebob. Who doesn't love Squidward. Harry Potter, my favourite is Snape...
okay, I just noticed a REALLY odd theme...
At an attempt to lighten the mood... I like Torchwood too and Doctor Who; John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Naoko Mori. Um...The 10th Doctor ftw. <3 He's quirky.
Live at the Apollo is good, Jack Dee, Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 cats. Comedy shows. I watch any films as long as it has a well thought out plot and no toilet humour or Ben Stiller. (Sorry Ben stiller fans, I just don't ifnd him entertaining) or that Rob Scneider is it?

Instrument: None. I tried Piano/Keyboard but I'm practically keydeaf....>_< I'm attempting the drums now because I have epic rhythm. Just need to find the room for a drumkit.

Do you like sports? HAHAHHAHA! No. I spend most of my gym life hiding in the toilets or trying to flush my gym kit. Or just not bringing it. Clumsy + Sports = FAILAGE. Guess who was always picked last and didn't actually care? : D

Family: A Split family. My mum and dad split when I was 5. I live with my mum and I see my dad whenever I want. I have a 2 year old half sister to some git my mum was going out with for 8 years whom I love to pieces. (She called my "cool" the other day....poor thing...if she thinks I'm cool :D I'm a geek!) Half of my family live down in Manchester and I get to see them 2 or 3 times a year if I'm lucky.

Clothing: Lolita. Gothic Lolita. Sweet Lolita. Punk Lolita. Although, recently, I'm starting to wear Visual Kei as the lolita thing is growing boring when no-one appreciates the effort.

How did you find this website? I found it on wikipedia. I was whimsically searching AS because of an incident as school involving me climbing trees and giving a false name when caught. I was trying to explain reckless and impulsive behaviour when I found this site and I just thought, OMG! <3

Job: Don't have one... sold tablet around the doors for a bit. (It's a sweet sugar based lump of fat tbh, it's yummy but not worth the calories). But I'm not good with people. Sold about...lets just say not a lot.

Plans for the future? I don't have any. I used to want to get into university of edinburger and get a Japanese language masters but my grades aren't high enough. (trying to socialise with agonising results instead of "studying" anyone?) I want to get my novel published. It's sitting here, printed. Waiting. but no-one replies >_<

Any comments? Uh. I'm very hyper and friendly, although I'm very guarded. I tend not to emotionally open up until I trust someone. I talk a lot but only if I feel comfortable. I hope this forum will help me understand myself more : )
Thank you for reading : D and sorry about the smileys. It's the sure fire way to describe and let people understand your emotions though. That's why I love them <3

I find that I like these types of "surveys", although I tend to go overboard with how much information is included, so bear with me...

What is your first name? Fiona (although, since 2001 I have been going by Sraddha)

Age: 26

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Hobbies and Interests: Photography, writing, psychology, geology, human biology, painting/sculpture, science fiction, computer science... Quite obsessed by psychology and mental health.

Why are you here? I'm on the Wrong Planet...

When were you diagnosed? Early 2009, after years of research regarding the younger of my twin daughters (who is dx'd autistic).

Favorite subjects: Funnily my favourite subjects at school were photography, science, and any of the arts, though I avoided my art and photography classes because of the overwhelming smell of chemicals and turpentine. Now, I work mostly with environmentally friendly art supplies which don't upset my olfactory nerves, and digital photography has made the developing process far easier.

Year/Grade: N/A

Favorite music: I find it hard to like specific music genres. There are a lot of musicians I like, but it's definitely based more on the sound of the song and the physical feelings evoked by the sound.

Books: I'm a constant reader, mostly interested in non-fiction, psychologically based books. I find it interesting to read about how people work.

TV shows/Movies: Generally I don't like to watch TV, unless an entire season has been released, as I like to watch all the shows (or at least a handful) uninterrupted. Film wise, it's the same as how I watch TV, or read books. I fancy a genre, and then get completely absorbed in only watching the genre that's captured me. But, for the most part, I enjoy science fiction, or documentaries.

Instrument: I can play some musical instruments, but I feel clumsy while playing the guitar. Woodwind instruments I've had far better luck with.

Do you like sports? I like to kick soccer balls around with my kids, but this is mostly stress relief. I always fancied myself as a keen hockey player when I was younger, but I had no sense of direction, and was always tripping up over my own feet. Horse-riding was something I was also keen on, and would still be into, more for the sense of connection with the horse, and the freedom of "riding".

Family: Quite a lot of them. Currently, I live with my youngest child and my parents, while trying to find a house closer to my ex-husband and my elder children so we can resume a 50/50 custody agreement.

Clothing: Anything that feels comfortable really.

How did you find this website? I really can't remember.

Job: Full-time mother at present.

Plans for the future? Art school.
