So I'm new, and I'm not very good at introducing myself, but I'm going to give it a try. As this is an Asperger's forum I guess I should start with explaining that I'm not sure if I have Asperger's or not, but most of the symptoms seem to fit. I'm planning on talking to my mom soon about seeing a psychologist or something to figure stuff out. Even if I'm not an Aspie I have a bunch of issues I need to work out anyway. Anyway, I really like books, horror movies, most types of music although there are some genres I can't stand.

Not sure what else to say, except I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to find a good therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist/whatever?

I think cognitive behaviour therapy sounds interesting. You should look that up. Be careful with psychologists they always want to give pills to solve each problem in my experience. I'd try anything before meds. Omega 3 helps with depression as well as taking a multi vitamin (capsule not tablets. capsules are powder inside and are easier on the digestive system.) and getting a few glasses of water a day. Avoid unhealthy foods as they can make things worse.

When looking for a therapist though just decide if you want male or female and do a google search for therapists in your area.

 This is however pretty interesting.... I was kinda like you aswell because my introductions were never really long but short intros are also interesting and you seem to have one of the interesting intros.

Welcome to Wrongplanet... :D

If you can't stand heavy metal, I with you on that one...

enjoy your quest here and google "aspie test", they do really good ones, they can show you how accurate it is if you are an aspie or not? Many people do that but then others actually get themselves diagnosed by a doctor.

Hopefully this is helpful information.
