Thank you for the welcome, this is all very new...

Hobbies and Interests: My faith, Star Trek, writing, drawing, reading (sci-fi, fantasy, nonfiction)

Why are you here?: Partly because of my writing (gaining understanding of other types of characters I could write), and partly because my geekiness brings a disproportionate number of Aspies (or suspected Aspies) my way.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): ADHD...apparently diagnosed when I was very little, not told until I was in about 4th or 5th grade since my parents wanted nothing to do with medications (thank God!). I am also a synesthete. Sometimes I do have some traits that are AS-like, but I suspect it's a side effect of ADHD and giftedness, as I do not feel I fit the full criteria. (Needless to say I was a little unsure what to do with the "Diagnosis" box as I filled out my profile...what does this count as? I mean, I don't have an AS diagnosis or think I'm ever going to have one, but I am not exactly typical--I mean, good Lord, the synesthesia... )

Favorite subjects: English, writing, foreign languages, theology...I prefer science and math in the abstract rather than the nitty-gritty.

Favorite music: Do you REALLY want me to list my whole collection? We'll be here all day...

Books: Authors, anyway...C.S. Lewis, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Diane Duane

TV shows/Movies: Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (new version), Criminal Minds, news. Otherwise I don't watch TV.

Instrument: My voice. (Not professionally trained, but I do like to sing.)

Do you like sports? Watching football? Yes. DOING any sport? Only as maintenance for the body, not because I like doing it. And God forbid it be a team sport. I would rather keep the embarrassment private.

Why are you here? originaly, an Accendent, then curiosity, now because it seems like the only place for me.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was MisDx as a kid, AD/HD, Panic disorder, agoraphobia, Depression as a teen, and later teen years they told me I had a borderline Personality disorder. they never came to a conclusive result or treatment, and after reading up on AS I am wondering now If that was the DX that they were looking for all those years ago.

ive not been formally diagnosed but ive always different and had a hard time relating and talking to other people. i tryed so hard to act "normal" and it just wasnt working so i heard about asperegers and i read alot about it and im sure i have it

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I have a very sincere suspicion of Asperger's, but lack medical insurance to get it confirmed.
