Why are you here? "Here", right now, because it's exam week, I have today off, and I'm so bored it's not even funny. "Here" as in on WP, because my boyfriend has A.S. It's confusing for me and I hope that a deeper understanding will help our relationship. I want insight from people that have A.S, rather than just text-book information.

Favorite music: Changes a LOT. Right now, Jesse McCartney All time favorites, Jason Derulo, Eminem, Keith Urban, etc. Uhh...yea... I mostly go for the 'popular' artists. Plus a bit of country music ^^

Books: oh wow. I have yet to read a book that I don't like. But then again, I don't pick up books that I don't find interesting. lol. I used to read a lot (like 15+ books every week), but since...last year? I'm finding that I just don't have the time anymore. I still read, but not nearly as much. Some favorites...hmm... I love Ian Irvine's books; I like Darran Shan's books; Dan Brown writes awesome stuff; The Book Thief was amazing; Pieces of My Heart by Jim Willis was beautiful, and...yea. I like fantasy, mystery, adventure, sci-fi, romance (sometimes), humorous, and... a lot of stuff Good horror stories actually scare me, so I avoid them at night; Modern history and politics bore me, I don't touch that kindda stuff; and...yep. I think that's long enough lol.

TV shows/Movies: I can watch anything. Even topics that I have no interest in, once I start watching, I get somewhat interested. I've never been bored to death by a movie or even a documentary I don't watch sport though, because I'm a very non-athletic person and I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to watching football or something.

Instrument: I learn the piano when I was young (like...5?) but I have since forgotten most of what I learnt. I can still play, but it's not something that I enjoy so I don't do it. lol. I own a guitar, but it's crappy and I never learnt how to play it. Such a waste... I actually want to learn, but...yea. =P

Do you like sports? No ==" I used to swim. Competitive swimming. But after hitting puberty I started being... not as comfortable with my body, so I stopped training. I've let myself go a bit so until I get back in shape, I'm not going to "reveal myself". coughcough. (and no, I don't have body image issues or anything. 10kg less and I'd be a 'size 0'. We don't have that in Australia, but yea.. I can still look good in a bikini. I'm just perfectly aware that there's little bits of flab that I would rather not expose to the rest of the world and my diet is terrible and I don't exercise because I'm lazy. hehehe ^^)

When were you diagnosed?: I haven't been, more than a psychiatrist speculating when I had insurance, but I never followed up with a specialist because of the astronomical cost I can't afford after I lost insurance. It's obvious enough, black and white, that I have this problem however (it explains every problem I've had since I was a toddler), that I don't feel the need to pay somebody to tell me what I already know.

Favorite subjects: Philosophy, Evolutionary Biology, Cosmology, Ancient History, Russian Culture

Year/Grade: Graduated HS / Haven't yet applied for college.

Favorite music: Tool, Vienna Teng, Kokia, Theodor Bastard, anything "atmospheric" and "enveloping" like trance music.

Books: Anything by Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, et cetera. His Dark Materials trilogy, Demian by Hesse, anything by Dostoevsky.

TV shows/Movies: House. Otherwise, a lot of movies, especially Christian Bale movies.

Instrument: Used to play flute and clarinet. Fiddled with the violin (ha ha). Played keyboard for a while. Realized music wasn't my thing.

Do you like sports?: No. I occasionally watch Hockey but otherwise I can't stand them. For personal 'sport', I enjoy jogging, running, and playing kickball or soccer.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): ....never have been, going for a diagnosis eventually. I'm guessing I have mild asperger's.

Favorite subjects: Music, History and maths. History is the least taxing though since there is little to NO discussion in class. Ahhhh....

Year/Grade: Year 12 or 6th form (doing second to last year in secondary school before jumping the boat to uni (which will unfortunately take a lot of strategic planning to avoid crowds and getting burnt out easily...should be fun))

Hobbies and interests: I enjoy everything musical. I sing soprano 2 in a professional choir, I play third flute in the IW Youth Symphony Orchestra, and I'm in the IW Youth Recorder ensemble. I am gr6 on flute and gr7 on recorder. I am literally obsessed with pokemon and Harry Potter. If I'm interested in something, I will find out EVERYTHING about it. I would love to learn a martial art or do boxing.

Why are you here? I am here as I would like to meet people in similar situations to mine, and make friends and discuss anything to do with autism or related conditions.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I haven't been diagnosed. I suspect strongly that I have Asperger's, and have considered other disorders like dycalculia and Nonverbal learning disorder. My mother is strongly opposed to getting me diagnosed.

Favourite subject: MUSIC! And english, and biology. I love geography, especially studying hurricanes and volcanic eruptions.

Year/grade: Year 10

Favourite music: Classical (when playing) and baroque. Especially Handel and Mattheson. But Ozzy Osbourne, Evanescence, Bon Jovi and AC/DC when listening.

I live with a strange woman who claims to be my mother, her other half, a nineteen year old sister and a nine year old rabbit called Ross. My dad lives in London and is wonderful. My brother lives in East Cowes, and is a buffoon. I think he has Aspergers as well.

Any comments? Yeah. Life sucks, most of the time. I just wish I could do something about my stupid mother, she thinks that just because I am just like my brother, who is 22, and one of her friends doesn't think I have it. that it's not worth the stress. I really wish I could talk to someone in authority about it.
