It's so refreshing to see such a thriving community here! Also, a big hello to you all!
For arguments sake my names Colin, I'm 24 years old from London (UK) and have spent the last 6 months on a very mad journey. But to cut a long story short regardless of how it began and through many doctors I was referred to an Aspergers specialist psychologist. Who, after spending many hours talking about lots and lots (and lots) of things, has diagnosed me as having Aspergers Syndrome.
To be perfectly honest with everyone here although a lot of the stuff we have talked through makes more sense, for me it's pretty intense news and after about a week it still hasn't sunk in properly. I am also not sure how to take the news either, my psychologist is giving me two weeks to process the information and do some research before she gives me whatever paperwork I need to get any help I can and to ask her any questions I need to ask.
Believe it or not she actually recommended this website as a good place to start talking about it, so that's what I'm here to do! So for now, to reiterate, a big hello to you all and i look forward to discussing all the bits and pieces with you.
