I am currently obsessing over maximizing a human (female) appearance in order to appeal the widest spectrum of people with the demographic destribution of different countries. (This is work related for me). Once I am satisfied with the physical things around me, I'll be back to obsessing over physics, mathematics, computers, and "random topics".

It seems a lot of people in the AS/HFA community have some type of at least -interest- in the human brain. I personally am obsessed with learning about disorders, how the mind works, psycho-psychology etc. This is also how I learned about AS/HFA. I digress.

Brain 'disorders' the way it works, etc.

I use to obsess over brains and effects of drugs and "disorders" on brains... and psychology, medicine, physiology, etc. when I was 12-16. Dexterity off and on throughout my life.

I didn't think I had an obsession, because there isn't any subject which I talk about ad nauseam at social gatherings like (according to what I read somewhere) Aspies often do. But my wife has pointed out that I have had a series of obsessions anyway, in the sense of interests that I follow obsessively. They have tended to follow one after the other. Current one is photography. Previously it was cycling. Before that it was taping music off radio and records and CDs. Before that it was bushwalking. Before that it was buying books. Then it was drawing up charts and tables. From time to time there have been shortlived ones like collecting old railway tickets when I was a kid.

Yeah, mine are pretty much chronological as well...

Animals [Age 4-7...when I was out for Halloween at the ripe age of four, I'd knock on the door and say...*biiiig breath* "Trick or treat! Do you have a dog? Do you have a cat? Are you married? Can I see? Do you have kids?" And generally, the door would get shut and some candy would get tossed in my face.]

Music and Reading [7-10] I was a huge reader...one summer I read 546 books and I barely got out of the house.

Theatre and Music [Up to now...Basically, it's been prominent through my entire life. Probably because I've been brought up in a theatre based household. My dad appreciates it, my mom tolerates it, I lose sleep over it. :) But, like I said in my Overture post, I'm very interested in theatre and music, specifically production and acting and everything that goes along with it, and I can talk endlessly over the idiocy of Tarzan on Broadway. :)

Lately, since my mom's a shrink, I've been pretty interested and somewhat engrossed with psychological diagnosis and I tend to blab on and on about my Prozac and the effects it has on my body to anyone who will listen. :) But it doesn't interfere with the theatre. Don't worry.

My obsessions? From an early age, I couldn't get enough information or books on dinosaurs. I loved reading about them, having models of them and going to the Natural History Museum to see their bones and models of them - in fact, I went there recently with a close friend, and I was babbling away like a little kid.

Comics (mostly X-Men and similar superheroes) and cartoons (Transformers cartoons, in particular) are a big influence these days. My screen name, in fact, is taken from my favourite X-Men villain, and it's one I've tried to use wherever I go on the web, and I have built up a massive collection of action figures thanks to this obsession. I'm actually running out of room to live

I find military history fascinating, particularly that of the Vietnam War (my shelves are bulging with autobiographical and historical texts on that war, as well as history books on the American Civil War).
