I'm 19 and for several years I have not known that I was disabled until I was somewhere around 16, when my mother told me that I have Asperger's. I have been interested in military aviation since Christmas Eve around 2004, when my stepmother gave me a book on WW2 airplanes(back then I was into buses), but this book changed everything. I was fascinated by the many planes featured in this book, and I came across this one particular plane. This is America's first operational jet fighter, and it was my favorite plane. This plane is the
P-80 Shooting Star. While this plane did enter service during WWII, only 2 were deployed to Europe: One in Italy, and the other in Britain. The P-80 saw no action, especially not against its German contemporary, the Messerschmitt Me-262(This packs a powerful punch! With an armament of four 30mm cannons!) While my favorite kind of aircraft of all time is the fighter plane, I still like other aircraft as well. I am almost finished with my model Spitfire. I have finished painting it, but now all I need to do now is put decals on it.
