Hello, my name is Joe and I'm brand new to these forums. I do not fall on the spectrum, either. I am a psychology student (though I suppose in a few days I'll be a graduate and prospective doctoral student) that has found, through a very interesting graduate course, a very piqued interest in autism.

I'm here to learn, and I hope I can be a part of your community. I am happy to give what little insight I can offer, since I know many of you may have questions on the psychological aspects of autism or Asperger's (and I have something of a specialization in psychopathology as well.) I'm also eager to be corrected; I think that, like all people, I come into this with assumptions and ideas about autism and Asperger's that are incorrect, and it is important that these notions be laid straight.
