Hello, I'm new...

...and I think I'm an Aspie.

I've always seen the world different than the people around me, but I, and everyone else assumed it was because I was smarter than most people. When I was small I studied other people, I wanted to know why people lie and make faces. Now I think I am very good at facial expressions, but I still sometimes confuse pain with confusion and stress for anger. I realised I might be an Aspie when:
*everyone at work said I was (I work with disabled people(I hate how HFA and Asperger's are counted as disabilities sometimes)).
(Also does anyone else wonder how to close a bracketed statement within a bracketed statement. Double brackets seem weird?)
*when I met someone with Asperger's and they were the first person I felt like I wouldn't offend.

My special interests are random facts about languages and science. (Mainly materials science and physics but if it's interesting I learn it.)

Hi. Isn't it a relief to talk to people who either won't get offended or if they think something you say is off, they will simply let you know without rancor?

Exactly. A conversation where one person upsets another should go thus:
Person A: Insult
Person B: That upset me.
Person A: Sorry, I didn't mean it. / You deserve it because X.

That's how I imagine it, anyway.
