Hobbies and Interests: BOOKS (word I learned yesterday: hyperlexia. Apparently it can be a symptom of AS...). Writing my own novels. Playing Worms. (The AspieBoy has tried to get me into Link but I don't have the patience...) A bunch of other stuff.

Why are you here? I have no idea. It seemed like a good idea yesterday.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Fall of 2010. I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline because the only reason I actually got my behind to counseling was because I had been in a Major Depressive Episode for 6 months. Yeah, my brain is a fun place.

Favorite subjects: Philosophy and theology (I actually don't like English classes..."it's so exhausting just to think down to your level" and all.)

Year/Grade: Senior in college.

Favorite music: Uematsu.

Books: TOO MANY. Really, my brain has a stack overflow trying to answer this question.

TV shows/Movies: I honestly don't watch a lot of TV or movies. Not my thing.

Instrument: None, though I'd love to learn.

Do you like sports? Horseback riding is amazing for me (everything just goes away for an hour...) but I don't get to do it nearly as often as I'd like.

Family: 2 parents, 2 sisters.

Clothing: Anything light blue (to the point where I freaked the AspieBoy out a little bit the first time I wore a yellow shirt in his presence), long skirts (to the point where I get teased for wearing pants...apparently if you're going to be a freak go for broke).

Hobbies and Interests: Mathematics, mental disorders and music. I used to read a lot but lately I haven't had much time.

Why are you here? I want to find out if I actually have AS or if I'm just being paranoid. I'm always quite paranoid about being paranoid.

Instrument: Cello and piano, and I really want to learn the saxophone.

Family: A father, a mother and a sister. I think my sister has AS or some other form of autism as well, even though she's totally different from me.

Clothing: I mostly wear dark or white clothes, I don't really like bright colors. And I really hate tight clothes.

Hobbies and Interests: I like drawing when I'm in the rare mood to do so. Also have a casual interest in astronomy and break-through sciences

Why are you here? A couple of reasons. Firstly, I suspect I have AS. I've never been diagnosed and have not done so yet because I do not have health insurance and really can't wrap my head around health care at all to figure out if I can see someone for free. I'd like to at least hear others' experiences and stories with their diagnosed or undiagnosed-suspected AS and come to better understand myself. Secondly, I've recently begun dating someone diagnosed with AS, and he comes here (he doesn't know I've signed up yet. lol). I thought it a good idea to come here and get to know this part of his life.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Like I said, I have not been diagnosed with any syndrome or the like, but I do suspect that I have AS.

Favorite subjects: I assume this is in reference to school. It's been five years since I was in school, but I plan to go back for linguistics, concentrating in Japanese and American Sign Language.

Year/Grade: N/A

Favorite music: I like most kinds of music. I don't pin it down to any one genre. If I like a song or an artist or an album, I have at it and enjoy it for what it's worth. Though, lately, I've been enjoying RuPaul, Kimya Dawson, Murray Gold, and Missy Higgins.

Books: I've never been a big reader, and I feel crappy for it. When I was working overnight in a cab company call center, I borrowed books from a friend. They were mostly by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet, and I enjoyed their collaborated story Good Omens.

TV shows/Movies: Big Doctor Who fan. I also enjoy its spinoffs. I also enjoy Sailor Moon, Super Sentai, RuPaul's Drag Race, Project Runway, and a few others I sporadically watch. As for movies, I haven't seen too many. Few really stick out in my head, but the ones that do are Little Miss Sunshine, Role Models, District 9, and Precious.

Instrument: I can't even play the recorder.

Do you like sports? If only because there is fighting, I enjoy hockey.

Family: It's quite a blended family. Birth parents are divorced, two blood sisters, almost-step-mom, various extended family, but it's my niece I enjoy most of all as of late.

Clothing: I like plaid button-up shirts and argyle, though I only have one sweater with the pattern of the latter. ...And jeans.

How did you find this website? Guy I'm dating hopped on here the other night while I was with him, and I thought I'd check it out for myself.

Job: Retail. I hate it.

Plans for the future? Go back to school. I want a Ph.D., but I think most important of all is just take a single class for the love of all things sparkly... You know you've been out of school too long and regretting it when you frequently dream you're BACK in school.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Misdiagnosed as ADD/ADHD aged 8, properly diagnosed at age 12.

Favorite subjects: History, English and Science

Year/Grade: College Freshman

Favorite music: Rock (Voltaire, Nightwish and Kill Hannah), Nerdcore Hiphop (Mc Lars, Mc Frontalot & YT Cracker among others)

Books: The Lord of the Ring Series, Riddle-Master of Hed, Ender's Game, Sherlock Holmes, The Poetry of Silvia Plath and the Vampire Lestat Series (I love to read). I love Neil Gaiman. I have more books in my list, but I don't want to post a huge chunk of test.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Officially just before Christmas 2010, but suspected for much longer.

Favorite subjects: Pop culture (cringe), books -- any books, I'm not a lit snob. Not that being a lit snob is a bad thing. There are a few authors I refuse to read.

Favorite music: A little bit of everything but I gravitate mostly towards acoustic rock.
