the guy I like has a twin, but the twin doesn't appear to have aspergers. I wonder how that could be when they are identical?

Maybe the twin is coping better?

Identical doesn't mean they have the same brain.

I know that they don't have the same brain. I just read somewhere that if one twin has it there's a 80 percent chance the other one will too. It's possible one just copes better.

Uh, so then the other one is in that 20%? I don't understand your question.

That would be my guess. I think he is in the twenty percent.

I have an identical twin who also thinks she has it. I think she might have it worse than me actually. Perhaps because I have more social experience going to school and all. Anyway. About identical twins...yes we have the same DNA, but our bodies don't necessarily have to use the same sets of genes or have the same phenotype, so it is possible for one twin not to have it.

I am a ferternal twin. My twin brother doesnt have aspergers. I was wondering if anyone thinks that there is a connection between twins and aspergers, or atleast developmental disorders, as it is a much higher risk pregnancy. Anyone notice that? Out of 7 sets of twins in my grade, atleast 6 people have aspergers, adhd, or a ld. And that's just as far as i know. They are all ferternal as well, not that it makes a huge difference.

I have a fraternal twin. He is definitely not on the autism spectrum, or anywhere near it.

My fraternal twin is definitely not an aspie. It's strange to be so different from the person I should be most like.
