First of all, hi everyone, this is my first post and I'm not sure if I have Asperger's Syndrome but I'd like to read your opinion. English is not my native language so pardon me if you find any errors.

It has been suggested to me that I might have Asperger's Syndrome and I have been wondering for a while if I have it. I found some tests from a site, answered them, and got this:

AQ (Autism Quotient)
Asperger's 31 - 45
Normal 12 - 26
I got 32

EQ (Emphaty Quotient)
Asperger's 9 - 33
Normal 26 - 51
I got 21

FQ (Friendship Quotient)
Asperger's 35 - 78
Normal 55 - 86
I got 34

SQ (System Quotient)
Asperger's 20 - 52
Normal 19 - 42
I got 34

I'm in the Asperger range in all tests. By the way, I found the tests ambiguous.

Some facts about me:

I'm 23 years old
I'm studying B.Sc in Information Technology Engineering
I live alone and enjoy it
I've been diagnosed (or misdiagnosed) with OCD and ADHD
I've always felt like a misfit

From the symptoms found in websites, I relate to most but not all. I must also mention that I'm socially functional but I have "to act" to adapt and sometimes I have trouble understanding social cues. I also do feel empathy but it's hard for me to manifest it (hope this is somewhat clear). My "obsessions" include Bach's music, algorithmic art, computer music amongst others.

Should I get an official diagnosis? Would it do any good? Do you think I might have it?

Feel free to ask any questions.

Cheers.

What site had the test? I'm curious as to how I'd do on it. And since you said any question, why are unicorns hollow?

I was just being silly. It's a question Richard Dawkins (or somebody) came up with to illustrate the ridiculousness of asking the meaning of life.

Oh Dawkings, never read him before.

For the tests, do a google search with the following query:
lpetrich asperger

:)

(I'm sorry but I couldn't post the site because of site policies; it wouldn't allow me to post it.)

cheers!
