Hi.

My name is Callum, 18 years old living in London. I was diagnosed with Asperger's earlier on this year.

All throughout my life I wondered what I was doing wrong, why others found contact so easy yet I struggled to even look someone in my eye. Before I had low self-esteem, depression and chronic insomnia that interfered with school and stunted my growth. Now, with the diagnosis I'm more self-accepting (it's helpful knowing that you're not the problem), happier and have finally come out of the insomniac cycle :D, so all good news for an introduction!

[i]When I was in college, my last quarter I had to read a book about Thomas Jefferson's views on health issues in the 18th and 19th century, like why people are so different from each other. To paraphrase his thought:
Everybody's head and face is different. If you try to shove the same brain into everybody's different shaped skull, then what is normal anyway? This may no longer qualify as cutting edge medical science, but it leaves open the question: Is anybody really sure just what normal is??? :P
