Why are you here? I guess I just wanted to find other people who might be able to relate to me in some things, and on a different level to my NT friends.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Well, I was assessed when I was 3, then my parents pulled me out of that since I was behaving 'normally' for a while. Then I was reassessed when I was 9 - a report from my school claiming that I had friends (lies) influenced the psychologist to give me a diagnosis of 'borderline'. Now I'm on the waiting list for another assessment, that should hopefully get started in about 5 months.

Favorite subjects: Psychology - it's what my degree is in! Other than that I really liked religious studies and maths while I was at school.

Year/Grade: 2nd year of university undergraduate degree

Favorite music: Classical, instrumentals - ones without words.

Books: The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel; Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro; Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach

TV shows/Movies: Waterloo Road, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons. I sometimes watch documentaries if they fascinate me.

Instrument: Violin (Grade 6), Piano (Grade 7).

Do you like sports? ...no.

Family: Mum, Aspie Dad, 18 year old severely autistic younger brother. I love them dearly.

Clothing: ...practical stuff? Right now I'm not going outdoors, so I just stayed in my pyjamas. Otherwise I'm usually in jeans, worn-down trainers which I really should replace at some point, and some kind of t-shirt or jumper.

Job: Just being a student! I do volunteer work in special schools and special-needs playschemes over the summer. I worked last summer at a camp for regular youngsters, and had to leave after a fortnight due to stress.

Plans for the future? No idea - finish my degree, then maybe do a Master's. I'm not sure if I'd stay in psychology or move into something else, though.

Because I am. That is probably the simplest explanation I could give you.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder):

Multiple Personality Disorder at age eight (1995); ADHD, Tourettes, OCD, and Depression at age nine (1996); Schizoeffective, PTSD, and Bipolar at age 20 (2007); Suspected of having Asperger's Syndrome at age 9 but diagnosed at age 21 (2008).

Favorite subjects:

When I was in school, my favorite subjects were Art, English, and Woodshop. As for college, my favorite subjects were Art, English and Anthropology.

Year/Grade:

I graduated from High School in 2005, and dropped out of college in both 2007 and 2010. My professors think that online classes would be best to further my education. I think they might be on to something.

Favorite music:

I listen to mostly JPop, JRock, and Doujin. However, I also find myself listening to a fair amount of metal, electronica, and on some occasions scene, goth, and visual kei. I do not like most rap and I most certainly do not like gospel or Christian rock.

Books:

I read mostly fantasy with a smattering of science fiction on the side. My favorite authors are Ed Greenwood, Elaine Cunningham, Issac Asimov, and a few others whom I cannot name at this time. I also read manga, and I'll pretty much read any manga that catches my interest - which encompasses almost anything that isn't shoujo, shonen ai, or popular nonsense like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. I say that while being as polite as possible, as my preferred term for such would probably get me b&.

TV shows/Movies:

I don't watch much television. When I do, it's usually the History Channel or Comedy Central. Otherwise, if you count online media, I watch a lot of anime and perhaps a bit of Western animation. As for movies, I don't care who stars in them, as I don't care for celebrities or popular media. I watch movies for the plot and the content.

Instrument:

I don't play a musical instrument, and my only aptitude with music would be both my ability to memorize rhythm, and my ability to hum around 100 or so pieces of music.

I don't like sports. I will leave it at that so that I don't seem to incendiary.

I wear what I feel like wearing. I don't follow popular trends in fashion, because I am not a sheep like most people my age. I'm a friggin' dragon who eats the sheep.

How did you find this website?

I have my red belt in Google-Fu. If I can find the name of an obscure 1980s anime for one of my friends, I think that while searching for things on Autism I can find a simple forum.

Job:

I am unemployed. A work environment would drive me into psychosis, as it has done at least twice before.

Hobbies and Interests: For hobbies, singing, drawing, writing, playing piano, playing video games, roleplaying. For interests... they tend to change a lot and are sometimes rather unusual. I also tend to get obsessed with things I'm interested in. My current biggest obsessions are Hetalia (an anime) and socialism. I also like learning about other cultures and languages. Though I'm not actually fluent in any language other than English, I'm nearing fluency in Spanish, I know various words and phrases in many languages, I can fluently read Japanese kana (though I usually can't translate to English), and I can also read a few Cyrillic characters.

Why are you here? To be part of a community of fellow Aspies.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Never officially, since I haven't had an assessment for Asperger's. I'm very certain I have it, though.

Favorite subjects: As in school subjects? This year, it would be Literature because I've had some rather interesting books (which I've definitely enjoyed reading) that I've had to read for school, followed by Geometry because it was easy. A lot of my history lessons have also been quite interesting. My favourite subject I've ever had was Game Design, and, when I go to college, I plan on majoring in Information Security and Forensics (ISF).

Year/Grade: 10th grade, which I'll be finishing in a couple weeks.

Favorite music: I guess it would mainly be indie and alternative stuff... as for my favourite bands, I mostly listen to R.E.M. at the moment (I tend to go through phases of only listening to one specific band), though I also really like Coldplay and The Beatles. I like other bands, too, but those three are some of my biggest favourites.

Books: I don't do a lot of reading, but my favourite book is A Place Where the Sea Remembers. I generally prefer fiction, especially that with a historical, foreign, or dystopian setting.

TV shows/Movies: I don't watch TV much anymore, though I do watch anime online (mostly Hetalia, though I also like several other animes). As for non-anime shows, I like a lot of 90s cartoons (hey, I grew up on those) as well as some of the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons. There are also some live action shows I like, too. For movies, my favourite movie is TRON: Legacy. I also like the Harry Potter series, Disney Pixar films, and many others. I know this may sound a bit odd coming from a girl, but I also quite like Hot Wheels World Race, as well as the AcceleRacers series which followed.

Instrument: Piano and my voice (yes, that's an instrument, too)

Do you like sports? I don't care at all for sports.

Family: I live with my parents, my thirteen-year-old brother, and our three pets (two cats and a guinea pig).

Clothing: I tend to dress very casual and wear whatever's comfortable. I usually wear a t-shirt with either jeans or sweatpants (or shorts depending on the weather). In cooler weather, I usually wear a cardigan over a t-shirt. In hot weather, I'll often wear a halter top or tank top with shorts. I rarely ever wear skirts or dresses, except for during more formal events.

Job: I volunteer at a summer camp for a couple weeks every summer. I also plan on finding a part-time job once I'm 16.

Plans for the future? Go to college, get a job in the computing field (preferably as a penetration tester, or at least something focusing on network security), get married, and have kids. This next part may sound odd, but I'd also like to live to see a successful global socialist revolution... and perhaps even take part in it.

What is your first name? I never go by it online because I don't really like it. Most of the time I go by Replete, and people actually think that's my first name.

Age: I was born in September 1993, so I'm 17 now.

Hobbies and Interests: *deep breath* Teratogens, counterculture, design, marketing, video games, open source, fashion, punk lifestyle/music, and there's probably more and more varied ones. This doesn't count special interests that I have from day to day - yesterday it was eugenics.

Why are you here? I have Asperger's Syndrome and I want to talk to people who are on the same wavelength as me.

Favorite subjects: Math and science. I'm not good at math, though.

Favorite music: I really only listen to punk music lately. I used to listen to some industrial (mainly Throbbing Gristle).
