I don't mind when the Café is quiet. I like quiet. Other times, I like to just sit at my table and watch the others and listen in on their conversations. I like the special holiday coffee you're serving... peppermint latte. Yum.
Lelia, have some hot lemonade.

Thank you. I think I will.
Does anyone know what is going on with Nan? I'm worried about her and her daughter.

Totally, totally new. Exploring the whole thing. Just turned 45 and figuring a lot of things out. Not sure if I want a dx. I tend to be very interested in what makes people tick, books, ideas, but not so much what is going on in day to day life with people. It's a funny movie. I'm deeply interested in you but who cares what is going on with you. It's not that I don't care about you. I just can't seem to pay attention to that stuff for very long? I got really depressed at first about realizing all of this. But I am starting to feel better. For now, I have a lot to learn about all of this. I have as of yet for any of it not to click. I think my whole extended family is on the spectrum so if not me, someone of us seems to fit every behavior. Man, what a cover up job. No wonder my mom is so uptight. A lot of 'abnormal' behavior to control. Um, did I mention I sometimes talk too much? Or not at all. Hello, nice to meet everyone. Well, it will be. Hi.

Well hello Tanya916. You are totally, totally new, and I am totally, totally old. Since no one else seems to be around, allow me to welcome you. I haven't been on WP for a very, very long time, so it seems kind of strange for me to be the first to welcome you. Ha ha. That's life on the spectrum. What is time? I never could make sense of it.

To tell you the truth, I don't see the absolute value in a professional dx, nothing changed for me when I got one, except that I felt validated that I was right all along. However, that's my opinion and no more than that. I'm sure that many people benefit from a professional dx in many ways.

And Hartz, let me give you a big hello and say hope all is well with you.

Hi, cosmiccat! It has been a long time. I hope all is well with you, too.

Yes. All is well with me, thank you. Just unwinding from the holidays. So, you are buying a house and getting married? I haven't really read the back pages of this thread but I scanned a few and think, if I read correctly, that's what you said. I'm happy to hear that you are happy and doing well. Still on that road less traveled, I see. I am no longer drifting, but I'll get around to changing that in my profile sooner or later. :)

Congratulations, hartz! I'm so happy to see that you are doing well, also!! I really need to pull myself out of my head more often to come here. The spaces are so long when I'm away that I feel like an outsider and a bad friend and tend not to post, just lurk.

BIG Aspie HUGS to you and I was sorry to hear your ticker was tocking wonkily but glad to hear the meds are working. :D

Oh my goodness, indeed. What a very pleasant surprise, Blessed. I've also been out of the loop. It truly warms my heart to think someone from the "old gang" was thinking about me on Christmas Day. I wonder too about everyone. Those were the days my friend. :D

I hope we can catch up and reconnect. Anxious to hear what you have been up to.

Welcome to the Dino Café, Tanya. I haven't been on here for very long. It's a comfortable place. You can sip on your coffee for hours without anyone kicking you out.
