What is everyone's AIM adresses?

Hey I'd like to be able to communicate with people via AIM and I thought that it would be nice if you all can post your AIM screen names here.

That's a little personal, isn't it? Seriously, a lot of us have our messenger names in our profiles, like you do. Click our names or check for the icons at the bottom of our posts. Some of us are more comfortable relaying the info that way than having it out in the open and grabbable by search engines.

Just check my profile. I don't talk much, though.

I am quite confused.

1. Assuming that the I. M. stands for Instant Message. What does the A stand for in AIM?

2. Do I automatically have one like an IP address?

3. If #2 is correct how do I find out what it is and or personalize it?

4. If #2 is incorrect then is it necessitative for me to get one? Would my Yahoo Instant message service suffice?

5. Is it free?

6. A How do I know that giving away such information wouldn't open me to a barrage of spim (spim being the IM version of spam)??
6. B I am not trying to be rude with 6. A . I simply have quasi-paranoid delusionments.

My family says I should trust some people more others less like that isn't oxymoronical.
