As a former critic in the sidelines, I'll use the time I'd typically waste doing nothing during the eve of the year 2012, to become a man in the arena. That is, I'll introduce myself and stop being the guy you see in the list of "User(s) browsing this forum:" who never posts.

(Sorry if my figurative language and sarcastic tone makes me come across as egotistical and pretentious, as I'm merely trying to be original. I don't mean to indicate any sort of preeminence, and I acknowledge that I don't have any).

Anyway.... I'm an introvert who enjoys reading and writing, but abhors speaking. I'd rather end world illiteracy than world hunger. My limited life experience tells me that most conflict is rooted in an imprecision in the way people communicate, which makes me wish I could talk like a character out of an Aaron Sorkin script. I feel that the word "wisdom" is a word people mostly use to compliment someone who agrees with them, rather than someone thought provoking. Mathematics is fun, and drawing isn't, because I'm incredibly horrendous at one of them (you guess).

My favorite book is usually the whatever I'm reading at whichever moment. Ditto for movies. One of my most unhealthy addictions is reading the Politics section of Yahoo! Answers, which is unusual in that it's an activity that makes me more unpleasant.

Other than that, I'm an irritable boy who recently turned seventeen. Oh, and Mr. House has the best ending for Fallout: New Vegas.

one with as much 'wisdom' as you should know I am not being sarcastic either.
Very much your words speak with a tone of the well age although still a young age - that is true wisdom.
I congratulate you on your disition to finally step out into the light.

Also, I do find maths, fun, especially algebra, drawing is just as fun, especially on a digital tablet ^-^
