Hi, I don't really know what to type but the truth:

I'm lonely I feel very isolated, this is the reason why i just registered on this website.
Does anyone feel the same? Or have felt like this before? What should I do?
I'm clueless.

English is not my native language so grammar might be abit off I Apologize.

I realize this post is kind of stupid but it's worth a try.

Thanks, Martin.

Not stupid at all, Martin. We've all been there.

I'm isolated as well; not just socially, but physically. I live way out in a rural area and rarely get the opportunity to be social even when I want to. You'll find a lot of support and companionship here. :)

What is your native language, by the way? Your English looks great to me. :)

And finally, welcome! I hope you'll enjoy it here.

Thank you for the response and the welcome :)

About the thing not being able to be social even when you want is kind of my situation at the moment.
More people have decided to distance me off lately, and i figure it's because I've been trying to be more "myself"

I hope this place is what i hoped, I really need something like this.

My native language is Swedish, since I'm from sweden aswell :)

By the way, is there a chat function on this site? I mean i found one but it didn't work :(

No problem! :)

In the end, it can sometimes be a struggle trying to find people who will accept you when you are being yourself. I hope you find your place there soon -- in the meantime, you certainly will have a place here. :)

Sweden, huh? My friend's family is from Sweden! I love listening to the Swedish language, even if I can't understand a word of it. It's a lovely sounding tongue.

Yes, there is... and it has worked for me in the past, but honestly I find it kind of bizarre. :? I much prefer the forum itself.

That's interesting, about the swedish language I mean. Ofcourse it's sounds like nothing special to me
but why do you like listening to it?

Bizarre huh? In what way?

By the way where are you from?

Oh, it just has a good sound to it. Some languages are very musical to my ear -- Swedish being one, but also Australian Aboriginal languages and the Kalahari Bushmen languages (love the clicky sounds), Spanish, Greek and many others. I don't feel any need to understand it; I just like the music of it.

Euhh, I don't know. I was there briefly, didn't recognise the people in it, didn't know what they were talking about and couldn't figure out the way it worked. More to do with me than the chat itself I believe.

I'm from Australia. :)

I agree with you, I find certain languages very enjoyable to listen. Like rhytms and such.

Australia seems really nice, I'd like to go someday, you've got great musicians over there that's for sure :)

Exactly! The rhythm of language can be amazing. I love listening to people who are great with English (Stephen Fry, for example), but because I understand what they're saying the meaning of it can distract from the sound. With foreign languages, I can just listen to the noise, not what they're saying.

You should! :) It's a good place. Just bring a lot of insect repellent. :P

Welcome to WP :) There are some great forums here on WP, and I am sure that you will find that you are not alone in feeling isolated at times.

If you want to find people to chat to, the Random Discussion forum is a great place to start. There are lots of threads that you can join and you will soon get to know other members on the site.

The General Autism Discussion thread is good if you want to find out more about autism and how other people cope with issues relating to autism.

And there's also an Adolescent Autism forum if you feel like having a look in there.

I look forward to seeing you around in the forums.

Hello and welcome to the WrongPlanet. Many of us feel somewhat isolated due to social awkwardnesses. Don't worry about your language here, we should be able to understand you.

Hello there.

I'm also very new too, I just signed up on the forums as a member myself.

Welcome! Your English is very clear to me, and makes sense to me. You don't have to feel shy about your English since it's very good!

I only have a few friends in real life but I have some friends online as well. I also tend to feel isolated as well because I'm socially awkward at times or say the wrong thing or offend people by mistake.

You're not alone.
