Hi, I am a 18 year old highschool student who believes she is mildly autistic. I am looking forward to meeting you all whatever the case is.

First off, can anyone here tell whether or not I am autistic? It is a suspected but not diagnosed occurrence in my family and I have always had trouble interacting with other people. I have for a while thought I might have a learning disorder and only today I have been trying to learn about autism as a possibility.

I would like to explore the WrongPlanet site and get to know people, but if my comments are out of place or badly worded, I want to apologize right away in case I say something to offend or insult someone. I can get rather obsessive about things too so I would appreciate it if anyone wants to stop any rants that I may spout.

Welcome to the WrongPlanet. Although we can say that it sounds like you might have autism, it really takes a professional to make that call officially. As far as what you say, don't worry. Relax here and enjoy all that this site has to offer.

When I was in high school, it was common for the teachers to think I had some form of autism. And now that I've graduated from college, other people have said the same thing. I have a psychiatrist that told me that I might have a mild form of autism and possibly Asperger's. I just need more time for the diagnosis.
