i recently developed an interest in 19th century wheelbarrows.
there is not much literature on the net about the 19th century wheelbarrows.

the reason i developed this interest stems from another interest i have about newspapers of the 1800's.

i found a site that has old australian newspapers.

i read an article which was about a man who stole a wheel barrow and was sentenced to 4 years in chains on a road work gang, and whatever... i guess my interests are not that relevant to the world around me.

my interest in 19th century newspapers stemmed from my interest (not extinguished yet) in early films.

here is a film captured in 1905, and i have watched it many times (more than 50), and i am fascinated by it and other similar films.

this was not the original video that i became obsessed with but the visual aspect is the same. the music in this video i am not very happy with, but i can not find the original video which has old time pianola music in it. whatever.

i have learned so much from watching the original and best equivalent of this video many times.
every one in the video is dead now, and it was from a time that is not in the memory of anyone who is currently alive. it was 107 years ago, so even the babies in prams are long dead. wow. there is something macabre about watching this film and thinking about it as i do, and to see long dead people walking around healthily is somewhat scary and fascinating to me.

they are all skeletons now (including the horses (obviously)), and it is a scary interest i have to watch people make decisions like about how they will cross the road whilst knowing they are long dead and not remembered even by their descendants.
