Hi... I'm new here, I got aspergers and maybe also Tourettes and ocd, (my psychiatrist is still working on those).
My AS special interest is languages.

Instead of just smalltalking (which I don't really master very well). I will instead ask you which character from Prometheus you relate to the most...
I personally think that the android David is the one which is most similar to myself. There are several reasons:

1) He learns by logic and experience, not intuition and feelings.
2) He's got a wierd dark humor.
3) He learns a lot of languages, so he can better understand the (alien)world around him.
4) He watches and learns from movies so he can better interact with people.

So what do you think?

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

I have not seen Prometheus, so I can't answer your question all that much.

One of my interests is languages too and once I transfer out of where I go to school now,
I may consider a major in a language or sign language.

David was pretty cool. Kind of makes me wish I was an android. I would probably be David.

Hey guys welcome to wp I am also new I have not seen that movie yet but I might see it eventually. I can understand some words in a couple languages besides English. But I really like science fiction a lot as well.

Thanks for your replys. David is just so cool. If I can't be him then I would certainly like to be Bishop the android from Aliens.

But when all is said and done. My claim here is, that all aspergers would more or less feel more relaxed in the company with David than with the other NT's on the spacecraft.
I would just love to practise strange languages with him. :)

Hello Armorer, are there any languages that you are especially interested in?
Regarding Prometheus. You should really watch it, I like it a lot, just be sure to watch Alien and Aliens in advance. Just a good tip.

I like your plan. :) Right now I'm totally hyperfocused in the languages of the middle-east and Afghanistan.
But please... ask me if you want to share some thoughts with me when it comes to choosing a language for your major :D

Brand new here and I'm dying to see Prometheus. For some inexplicable reason it's not on show at any cinema near me right now.

Move to my town. Prometheus is playing in our local cinema! That will solve your problem.

Finally found it in the listings, the 9th of August in 3D only so far. Looks like I'll have to show some patience, dammit.
