Hello from house-hunt. It's nice to be here but a strange feeling of looking at places needing an occupant but I'm not the right person for the house. Almost like going to a humane society shelter to find a dog or cat.
Hartzofspace says you paint, lemon? Hi, I paint and draw too.
Welcome to Aspie_SE10, though I may not have been on WP much longer than yourself.

Welcome to the Cafe, SE10. Pull up a rock, have a nice heated beverage. :)

Hartz, what has worked for me in such cases is earbud headphones - they block the ear canal, and I can play the music of my choice directly in there. Of course, it may help that my favorite genres are prog-rock and some metal (especially Blue Oyster Cult and Type O Negative) - if you like soft rock or easy listening, it might not help block the outside sounds as well...

Hi, DeaconBlues! I do happen to have several pairs of earbud headphones. But they don't really detract from the this particular noise. The problem is that this low frequency noise by passes my foam ear plugs for sleeping, and can still be heard quite clearly so that it detracts from the pleasure of my music. One thing that is encouraging, is that there are other people who don't like the noise. Last night someone called the county sheriff on those people. I am going to try to attend the next Commissioner's meeting at the city hall to see if this issue is being addressed.

Hi, I'm quite fine actually
not sure where my art is for the moment,
have been busy teaching also.
have sent my portfolio to a publisher yesterday (maybe that'll tell me more about where i am?)

and what about you?

Good luck with the portfolio submission!

As for myself, I am working on a book, and am engaged to be married. Those are the biggest things right now. :)

Does Blessedmom still post here? I thought that she was in communication with Chuck.

DeaconBlues and Blessedmom summoned me for a powwow with Nan, but it's been a while since I stopped by. Hello to all - I hope everyone is doing well! :D I'm in the middle of a loooooong workweek, but will be back in a bit to read how you are all doing. Take care!
