Hello to all members of the Aspie/Autism community!

I am a new member of this website starting today. I'll be 20 this November, and have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome since middle school (even though my parents were suspicious that I had it months after I was born). I was told that I had AS around the time I was entering high school due to various problems I was having at the time; both academically and socially. As for why I subscribed to this website, I only started in recent years to truly feel the downsides to having AS now that I'm out of high school. I have read at least two different novels that explain how to get along with people that have AS, and was astonished at how much information there was that accurately coincided with how I behaved for most of my life. It was as if I stumbled upon an instruction manual to myself, but even with that knowledge, I still feel lost and unfulfilled. I do not believe that I have ever once met someone with AS other than myself (even though I have my suspicions about others who act "differently"), and was hoping I could talk to others who have AS. Those of you within this community who read this, please feel free to send me a message, pm, or chat invitation. I would love to hear from you.

Kindest regards,

~Klinx

I enjoy talking to people, playing video games, being on my computer, going out on long walks, and from time to time I enjoy bowling or badminton. That's the short version.

Truthfully, I'm still discovering more of what interests me because my interests relate to so few of the people around me; as a result, I've been trying very hard to branch out. All I can say for certain is that, whatever the case, I enjoy the simple things in life. :D

Many thanks to the rest of you who said Hello to me today. I look forward to getting to know you!
