Hi people,

I am a 17 year old girl, not diagnosed but I've been sure I have AS for a few years now. I'm very clumsy and socially awkward. Do you recognize this: not knowing at what distance to stand from people (personal space), making a lot of lists and diagrams of things I'm interested in, being very picky about rules. I also have a weird thing with abbreviations, I never get them. When I see an abbreviation like T.S. my mind tries to list all options: Toy Story, Tourette Syndrome, Teamspeak, Twisted Sister, Train simulator, top secret etc.

By the way I am not native English, actually I'm Dutch, I hope I am not too confusing :D

Monique

Welcome to the forums. Your English is fine, by the way. I never would have even guessed you were of another country.

Welcome movaho.

I have a friend in Amsterdam, but I've only visited twice. I've spend more time down in Eindhoven, but not for a rather long while. Holland is a lovely country, but I never did like the idea of traffic lights on motorways.

Hi again mavaho.

I used to come over quite regularly, for Quanta shows (they are the Sinclair QL club). The shows were in the Sports College (if I've got that right - is it Sporthallen?) and we'd (almost invariably) stay in the Eindhoven Motel (which just might have been Motel E. 3 Eindhoven Beheer B.V. Aalsterweg 322 - it's been a while since I've been!). Rooms: mediocre, beer: good, and I miss the food (I just started drooling).

It's a while since I've been. I'm pretty sure the club still comes, but I haven't been actively involved for a while (except that I have been again, recently/now). Who knows, maybe I've pop over sometime, whenever the next show is.

My memories of Eindhoven as all good.
