Why are you here? I found their AutismTV youtube channel with the annoying piano in the beginning and figured out they have a site aswell

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): Well.. few years ago? when i was sixteen they accused me of Asperger's, yesterday i took that AQ test or smth and found out it is 19.. im happy, too bad for my psychiatrist though, she thought otherwise..

Favorite music: This is gonna be a long list so prepare. At first, I may even like Justin Beebar. IDK why, but his music isn't bad produced and he is friends with Usher so hey! That means I like pop. Furthermore, I also have an HUGE preference to Hip-Hop / Rap, Metal and almost all Techno / House types.
What I don't like is Country / Indie music, for gods sake, why is that invented.. no emotion..
I like all Hip-Hop rap (from old to new, except SouljaBoy and the like, they f*****g suck).
I love all kinds of Metal, even though I mostly listen to the extremer variants, as in Death / Black / Folk / Deathcore / Metalcore. Other subgenres are kinda.. soft.. Which me not really likes.. normal rock bands are usually disliked by me cause theyre too slow / all the same
Techno I listen also everyday (i listen to alotta music each day), also a preference for extremer variants as in Hardcore / Terrorcore / Speedcore (check it out and be blown off your seat)

Why are you here? I need friends who aren't NT. I'm losing my mind trying to keep up with their social world, but I don't want to spend all my time completely alone.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): My mom sort of rejected the diagnosis for me as a kid and raised me "normally." My son is on the spectrum, and I'm starting to realize how much alike we are.

Hobbies and Interests: I like to read, write, and think about any sort of social studies related topic. I also really like learning about true crime. I don't have many hobbies that one actually goes and does. It's all sort of in the mind for me.

Why are you here? I just wanted to check it out, since I don't know anyone with Autism/Asperger's in real life.

TV shows/Movies: the walking dead the show scares the crap out of me but i like it, star gate watch that movie its awesome, stepbrothers.

Former scoutmaster, now president of my scouting association. My interests are many but mainly focus on human health, sociology, physics, cosmology, objective morality and political theory.

Why are you here?
I have AS, but that is not really a reason. I'm looking forward to learning more from people with actual experience with this thing, instead of learning about it from my psychologist or (school)books. And one always hopes to find a compatible mate who doesn't live on the other end of the world to hang out with, for a while if at all possible.

January of this year, with Asperger Syndrome, after I came to get rid of my recurring depression.

Big question... Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Black Keys, Over The Rhine, Queen, Daft Punk, Metallica, Moby, Gorillaz, Muse, Lady Gaga, Gossip, Adele, Graffiti6, anything good really, which says both too much and too little, but I'm not going to write my complete list of stuff I like here - visit my Facebook page for a more comprehensive list of stuff I listen to.

Books:
Anything on science, human health mostly. I don't really appreciate fiction or romantic novels, with a few exceptions. And I love reading in English. I've listened to the Harry Potter books, being read to me by Stephen Fry, which was lovely.

TV shows/Movies:
A bit of Fry and Laurie, Michel and Webb, Russel Howard's Good News (he's a laugh, and very attractive), The Mentalist, 6 Feet Under, anything South Park, Mythbusters, Kitchen Nightmares, another big question really. For movies, the best I've ever seen are also rather sad, like Latter Days, or 8 The Mormon Proposition, or Prayers for Bobby. Gay themed films are a big part of my list of favourites, but I do enjoy many others.

I don't think I'm a very sportsy person, I love the outdoors and would love going on an outdoor camping trip - but there aren't any real accommodations for that where I live. I've been in scouting since I was 10, so that probably counts. Sports I love watching are diving, athletics, and most of all gymnastics. Which has much to do with their sex appeal, I suppose.

Family:
I'm on my own, but have three siblings, all younger than I am. One sister who's near my age, and two brothers which came later. My parents are both alive and still hanging on to each other.

Clothing:
Comfortable is very much my style, though I frequently find myself judging the aesthetics of other people's clothing choices, like wearing more than one pink coloured piece or failing to match shoes with other leather accessories. So I think 'comfortable but sensible' would describe my style best.

Volunteer disaster relief medic for the Netherlands Red Cross, and I see my position as chairman of my scouting association as a job as well. What I do for most of the week though, is study for a bachelor of science in Nursing.

Plans for the future?
Be the best nurse I can be, keep studying to be an advanced nursing practitioner, marry a guy, be foster parents and settle on a nice big house somewhere on the Dutch, Scottish, Irish, Canadian or somewhere Scandinavian countryside. Oh, and have two nice big dogs, a bunch of chickens and a beefy black car.

Hobbies and Interests: Drawing/painting, sci-fi/urban fantasy/the paranormal (yeah they are kinda connected, one of them leads to the other) and collecting on the things I collect. But my interest for drawing/painting gives me an overall interest in the aesthetics so I love a lot of things due to that, like flowers, japanese street fashion, interior design etc.

Why are you here? I found this while googling and thought I'll look it out.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): The first time they talked about autism and me was when I was 5, but I never got the diagnosis 'cause I was a girl and could speak some. During my way up to adulthood I got psychiatric problems and got diagnosed with a lot of different things, but then they talked about autism again when I was 20, but I was scared and said no. I got my official diagnosis last year and I agree and accept that autism fits me and most of my problems, but I don't like it.

Favorite subjects: Like in school? I didn't really like any of the subjects after 4th grade, but if I have to choose I think I say art or religion.

Year/Grade: None

Favorite music: piano, electro/aggrotech, goth/darkwave/death rock, gothic metal, DSBM, blackgaze and symphonic/melodic death/black metal.

Books: Books with beautiful pictures I'm allowed to borrow special kind of audio books so I usually listen to books, but if I find the book itself I prefer to listen and look/read at the same time. I prefer urban fantasy and sci-fi and as I said books with pics.

TV shows/Movies: The X-files, Star Trek TBG, DS9 & Voyager, Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, Charmed, Grimm and Daria.

Instrument: I love to sing but otherwise I can play flute, recorder and some piano. I can't read sheet music and I've never owned a piano, but would love to do so. I've learned to play the things I can on the church's piano.
