What is your first name?: Hannie, short for Hannah-Jamie.

Why are you here?: Because I'm an Aspie, and kind of alone. In the sense I know nobody else like me, and very few people really accepting of me.
When were you diagnosed?: When I was 13.
Favourite subjects: Spanish, Maths, English.
Year/Grade: Fourth Year (Year 10)
Favorite music: Alternative genre stuff, good ballads, people like Ed Sheeran, The Arctic Monkeys, Ben Folds, KT Tunstall, The Smiths, Florence + The Machine, James Vincent McMorrow, etc.
Books: The Time Traveller's Wife, To Kill A Mockingbird, Sherlock Holmes... and loads of other stuff.
TV shows/Movies: Sherlock, House, Perception, Kingdom, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, Mock the Week, Russell Howard's Good News. And for movies: Howl's Moving Castle, Third Star, The King's Speech, Calendar Girls, Brave, and Dumbo.
Instrument: Um... don't really have one. Can kind of sing.
Do you like sports?: Some sports. Netball, hockey, rowing and rounders are all good, lacrosse and swimming are never going to happen.
Family: Adopted. Mum, Dad, adopted brother. Three rabbits. Cousin with four kids I love.

Plans for the future?: Well, the above, but I'd also quite like to live independently, get married and maybe have a few kids. I also want a really awesome house/flat to decorate for myself. To be honest, it would just be nice to be happy and do something good.

Why are you here? I believe that everyone in my immediate family (myself included) has some AS traits. Reading this forum has given me a different way of looking at everything that's happened in my life. I think I may be the most NT of the four of us, but I've just begun to figure everything out.
When were you diagnosed? I haven't been. I kind of feel like I have AS but I always score as "neurotypical" on the quizzes. I am not sure if I actually have AS or have just picked up learned behaviors from my family.

Do you like sports?: Absolutely! I am not great at sports but I really love playing them and watching them.
Family: Mom, dad, younger brother. We have two cats- one that I raised since he was a kitten and the other who we recently adopted as a stray. The cat that I raised is very neurotic, skittish, fastidious, and content to be alone at times. The one we adopted is friendly and can't stand to be away from us. Now I wonder if we have one AS cat, and one NT cat.
Clothing: I actually love comfortable clothes which still look polished- the best of both worlds.
How did you find this website?: I googled "neurotypical child of Asperger's parents." And this website has changed my life because I now understand how my parents see the world. I'm not kidding.
