Is it possible to change your nick name?

Hello I am new and I really wish to change my nick name. After reading the warning thread about disclosing personal information it suddenly occurred to me that my nick name is my actual name and I don't want everybody to be able to see it. I didn't really know what I was doing when I wrote it in during the sign in process. I no it's probably not the same as allowing everybody access to my email add but still is it possible to change it?

Unfortunately, you can't change your user name. The anti-disclosure thread specifically refers to physical addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, etc. The e-mail part is specifically to combat spammers/scammers who often contact by PM.
