What is your first name? My name is Sarah.

Age: I've been alive for 24 years.

Why are you here? I've got Asperger's and I want to try and "meet" people who are like me, that understand me and don't make me feel like I'm on the outside looking in.

When were you diagnosed? I was diagnosed in October of 2012.

Favorite subjects: Science, animals, technology.

Year/Grade: I'm not exactly sure what this is asking. I'm not in any "grade" because I've already graduated from college twice. The year is 2013. Hope that's an appropriate response.

Favorite music: I listen to all sorts of music but my favorite kind is classical music.

Books: I have so many books that I have my own personal library. Most of them are books filled with facts and useful information. I also have a lot of memoirs and fantasy.

TV shows/Movies: Adventure Time, Invader Zim, Mozart and The Whale, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mr. Holland's Opus

Instrument: As a child I taught myself to play the piano by ear, I've long since forgotten to play. I spent the better part of my life singing in a choir and competing.

Do you like sports? There are some sports that I don't mind watching but I tend not to enjoy sports very much. I'm not coordinated enough to play.

Family: I have a brother and sister. They're both NT.

Clothing: My clothing is normally a bit "oddball", at least that's what I've been told. Bright and vibrant color choices, socks with wild patterns etc.

How did you find this website? I was referred to this site by the Yale Autism Center people for "support".

Job: I don't have a job, currently looking.

Plans for the future? Work on functioning better socially.

Why are you here? I have nonverbal learning disability, hypotonia, and partial trisomy 16, a chromosomal disorder that affects you physically and can impact your learning.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed with hypotonia at birth, NLD in April 2010, and partial trisomy 16 in October 2012.

Favorite subjects: I always loved history and English in school.

Year/Grade: I graduated with a Bachelor's degree last May.

Favorite music: Anything really that sounds good to me except for a lot of rap, hip hop, and some country.

Books: I read different kinds of books but personal favorites are "Oh, the Glory of It All" by Sean Wilsey, "The Know it All" by AJ Jacobs, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, "The Secret Keeper" by Kate Morton along with many, many others

TV shows/Movies: I still love watching "Full House" and "Friends" but also enjoy watching "The X Factor", "Dancing with the Stars", "American Idol", and "White Collar."

Hobbies and Interests: I don't have any hobbies, at least not any social ones. I mostly spend my time playing video games. I'm interested in politics, car numbers, serial killers, video games, tiny models of big things, music and animals.

Why are you here? Because as someone who has AS and is generally an "outcast" I wanted to meet and get to know people who also struggle with aspergers or autism or just generally is a little bit "different". In other words, I wanted to get to know people who understands me better and I wanted to understand them too. But the only problem was, well, I couldn't find anyone like that in my local area. I couldn't even find a good friend. So I came to this website in hope that I would get to know someone who I can relate to.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I have always had these feelings of being "odd" but I was recently diagnosed with aspergers. Though nothing has really changed since.

Favorite subjects: Math, English, history and music

Books: I don't read a lot, but when I do it's usually a thriller. A very good book I recently read was "And then there were none".

TV shows/Movies: I watch mostly Swedish shows, but some English shows are South Park, Simpsons, Judge Judy and The Office. And when it comes to movies I don't really have any favorites, but I like comedy movies. I also like documentaries about serial killers, I find them fascinating. And please don't take that last statement the wrong way.

Instrument: Don't play any myself, but I like drums, piano and guitar.

Do you like sports? HATE THEM ALL! No offense, but I really can't stand sports of any kind. If you like any sport, good for you, I don't care. Enough said.

Family: I was adopted at the age of 7 months from Russia, but I really don't care. I have two parents (what a shock) and a brother. We're a pretty good family I think.

Why are you here? I need support, advice and a place to talk or vent

When were you diagnosed? My mother always thought I was Autistic but functioning. I guess there wasn't much information about Aspergers when I was a child. Due to a recent meltdown I have done research and taken every online test I could find and each say I am most likely have Asperger's. I want to be professionally diagnosed so I can get help one way or another but I have no idea how to go about that.

Do you like sports? Hmm, some. I really want to learn to rollerskate. But I'm not big on team sports like football.

Clothing: My basic look is "tight black things with baggy stuff on top". My wardrobe looks kinda like that of a cartoon character, with loads of the same shirts. I wear long-sleeved black tshirts, leggings, and either baggy sweaters & shorts, draped cardies and tight dresses, or long skirts. I also have quite a collection of geeky tshirts. Everything I wear, save one shirt, is black, blue, purple or grey. I'm never without a big scarf (usually actually some sort of throw or sarong, just worn as a scarf), and doc marten boots. I also wear hats a lot, my favourite is a grey pork-pie hat.

Do you like sports? Watching Olympic gymnastics and figure skating. I used to exercise at the gym but got overwhelmed and exhausted at home. I used to also go running but got carried away (I stupidly thought I could transfer 6 miles on the elliptical machine directly over to pavement) and gave myself a stress fracture. I ceased running after that.
