My first name is Susanne (A name i just recently started to appreciate, as a kid i couldn't hate it enough)

I am 21 years old, going on 22 at the end of August.

I live in Stavanger, a city in Norway.

As a kid i used to have plenty of hobbies/interests, but as i've gotten older somehow they've decreased. But. At the moment i like to keep my mind doing creative stuff, f.eks writing poems, songs, or snapping pictures (though those usually end up looking like they've been captured by a 9 year old). Listening to music is a daily ritual for me, a day without i imagine would give me withdrawal-like symptoms.
Being active is important for me, i love the feeling you get after having been at the gym/out for a jog or a walk, it does something to your mood, makes me happy. I have slightly interest in fashion/interior, though it's a well, tad costy hobby to be to focused on - so in moderation. And learning is always fun - Good thing you can't overdose on knowledge


I joined this forum, because i felt the need to talk to people in similar situations, since i at the moment don't know anyone else with like diagnose. And to give out advice's/help for others on this forum.
Although I got the diagnose just about a year ago, so it's still somewhat new to me.

The music genres i listen to are such as: new wave, alternative rock, indie pop/synth, punk, gothic rock.
Favorite bands in general would have to be The Smiths, Joy Division, The Cure, New Order, Suede, Radiohead, The Sound, The Feelies, The Maccabees, Noah and The Whale, Youth Lagoon - phew.. wow and that was just a few.. (Music addict some..)

Favorite books: The Picture Of Dorian Gray & Veronika decides to die.

TV shows: The Walking Dead, The Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story, Dexter, Mad Men & Friends.
Movies: Breakfast at tiffanies, Spirits of the dead, One flew over the cuckoos nest, This must be the place, Midnight in paris, The notebook & A clockwork orange.

I play keyboard/piano by ear, as i don't know notes. Not super at it, but descent enough - no one has requested acoustic earmuffs so far.

I like to mix Vintage and modern/new clothing. I like Vintage band t-shirts (of course which band it is matters), jeans (coloured or plain), denim shorts during the summer, Peter Pan collared shirts, surreal/symmetrical patterns (like flowers), lace (especially white), brooches - i think i'll stop there. Favorite colors to wear: Burgundy read, white, cream white & black.

At the moment i am still studying.

Plans for the future? - After having finshed my studies this year, i plan on moving out of the country, and there start working in a kindergarten. If i have the guts to do it, i'll also try starting a band to work on during my spare time after work. This way i could do something more reasonable with the things i write. And hey, you'll never know if you never tried right?

hello everybody. my name is maiky and i am the mother of Alex (15) he has been diagnosed with aspergers 3 months ago . First i was in big denial and very angry because to me Alex was and is this PERFECT , OBEDIENT, SMART , SWEET , NO PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER SON.

BUT AS DAYS GO ALONG I START NOTECING LITTLE THINGS ABOUT HIM THAT I HAVE NOT SEEN BEFORE . WE TALK A LOT AND HE SHARES HIS THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS WITH ME . WE HAVE BOTH ACCEPTED THAT HE HAS ASPERGES , BUT WE KNOW SO LITTLE ABOUT IT .

AS I SAID BEFORE BOTH ME AND HIM NEVER TOUGHT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG .. THE WAY WE DEAL WITH IT IS BY MAKING LOTS OF JOKES ABOUT THE WHOLE ASPERGERS DIAGNOSE AND TRY TO KEEP THINGS LIGHTLY.
