Hey everyone. I'm waves & I'm 27. I go by they/them/their(s) pronouns. I'm a non-binary trans, anarchist, geeky, mixed-race queer punk. I love music, writing, reading, movies, zines & other DIY stuff, photography, nature and animals, science, sleeping, swimming, and a bunch of other stuff. I was diagnosed only this April because nobody thought to evaluate me for that, only for ADHD and learning disabilities which I also have, and then one of my friends posted alternative diagnostic criteria for autism written by autistic people and the majority of it matched my experiences and I figured I should seek a formal diagnosis so I can get accommodations in school and whatnot. This is the only diagnosis I've ever gotten (besides the ADHD & learning disabilities, once I started unlearning ableism) that's been validating to me. I always knew I was different and for a long time I just thought I was weird. I'm glad to know what's up now so my experiences make sense and I'm learning more self-care things that are helpful for sensory stuff and dealing with people. I'm kinda nervous writing this so I'm gonna stop now.
