First Name: Christopher

Age: 17

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Hobbies and Interests: My interests include skyscraper aesthetics, urban planning, rapid transit/subway systems, helicopters, and some politics. My hobbies include video games (GTA, Halo and Battlefield), surfing the web, and listening to music. I really like music. I also like to romantacize cities to a certain extent, just think of all the lights, and 3/4ths of those lights mean someone is present at the light. I also just like the grandeur and scale of them, and the power they have.

Why are you here?: I am a diagnosed Aspie, but I've been feeling kind of lonely lately, so I decided to join this site to see if there was someone who shared similar interests.

When was I diagnosed: I was diagnosed with Asperger's in '99. I also believe I have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

Favorite subjects: US Government, Business, economics, history since WWI.

Year/Grade: 12th Grade

Favorite music: I love 80's new wave and rock (AC/DC, Tears for Fears, some of Kenny Loggins, Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, RUN-DMC) and I also enjoy some 60's rock (Jefferson Airplane, Sam Flax, some Beatles). I also enjoy alternative music (Foster the People, Imagine Dragons, deadmau5, I've really been into The Protomen recently)

Books: Not many, typically architecture books with pictures. 1984 is a good book. I like books with a dystopian future and/or revolutionist themes.

TV Shows: Modern Marvels, Through the wormhole, Mythbusters, the Iron Man movies, Star Wars (not the Clone Wars crap), The Avengers. I like movies where there is a lot at stake and there is either a feeling of grandeur or desperation. I also like some film noir like Blade Runner.

Instrument: I don't play any.

Do you like sports?: Not really, though the occasional baseball game is fun to watch.

Family: I have an NT mom, dad, and sister. My great grandpa was an Aspie, but he passed away recently.

Clothing: T-shirt and jeans usually, but I like polo shirts a lot as well.

How did I find this site?: I was feeling kind of lonely, so I started searching online for groups to join.

Job: N/A

Plan for the future: Go to college, and start my own company. Move to San Francisco or New York. Maybe Chicago.

Any comments?: I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and if you have the same interests that's awesome!

Age: 25

Location: Australia, NSW

Interests: Music, Art, Metal detecting plus various others. Plus, also, that other thing that's really popular these days! You know, the thing!

Why I am here: My asperger's made me

Do I have to put down so much information? The prospect does not fill me with elation! See that rhymed! I'm a poet and I never would have thought so! Ok, I'm done with my cringeworthy attempts to highlight the quirky origionality of my personality! I did not just mean to rhyme then!

I play the drums! You can insult me! I like insults as compliments often make me feel weird.

I'll give more info later!

Age:
25
Location:
Orange County, California
Hobbies and Interests:
I watch alot of anime/cartoons, I watch some movies, I spent alot of time on forums, I enjoy learning new things.
I like to craft/make stuff, design things
I have a huge interest (obsession?) with firearms, I'm a gun collector and shooter. I study ballistics and gunsmithing.
I'm a huge Invader Zim fan. been a fan since 2001. Me & Zim, we have a bit too much in common to be a coincidence.
Why are you here?
Looking for friends, learn more about how to 'deal' with aspergers
When were you diagnosed?:
2001/2002
Favorite music:
I'm still exploring music, I found i like country most of the time
Books:
I read mostly IZ (Invader Zim) fanfic's now, haven't picked up a book in years. I really enjoyed harry potter and john grisham books.
TV shows/Movies:
Invader Zim, Ghost in the Shell, Detective Conan, Simpsons, Lupin 3rd, Highschool of the Dead
I like heist and crime movies. i find british crime films really funny, they use some really funny slang!
Do you like sports?
I like airsoft and I do some shooting sports. I would like to get into 3-gun someday.
How did you find this website?
I learned about it after posting over at psych forums. I like to hang out in the ASPD forum when I'm down. I've got some ASPD tendencies, not the anti-social part, but the other stuff.
It never occurred to me that, like anything else that exists, there is an aspergers forum.
Comments?
I act like two different people alot. it's like multiple personality disorder but I'm aware of them, it's like two people sharing one body & mind.
Online it's one personality, in-person its another. Online i tend to be more open and liberal to speak my mind, in person i'm alot more shy and asperger-like.
