Hello people of Wrongplanet

I've been lurking for a good while and figured now is as good of a time as any to kind of just dive in as it is kind of helpful to know that there are other people who are like me they aren't seemingly distant and difficult to meet and awkward to approach.

I have a huge fascination with computers, mathematics, and physics. I've come to understand Math to about an early undergraduate level and the math and physics just kind of came as a side hobby through things like example problems and well my career in nerddom just kind of hit off.

I was diagnosed not that long ago but kind of suspected it since i was 5 or 6 just as i was light years ahead in school and nobody else "got" me. This was long before i was recommended to a psychologist for diagnosis and such. I was diagnosed about a year and a half ago. Am usually pretty anxious about talking to others but due to some of the anonymity of the internet it seems a bit easier.

so, you have autism and you're quite bright. the being bright part is good compensation for the autism. at least it has been in my case. I read at a college level when I was 13. helped me get a scholarship and into grad school. best wishes for your future. I'd be willing to bet, lots of good things will happen.

Thanks for welcoming with open arms i honestly thought that it would be a bit more "awkward" kind of like it is irl when i start talking to someone i don't know. I guess that's the glory of the internet i suppose
