Hello, I'm new here. I was excited to discover this site. I was diagnosed with Aspergers in 1995, back when they said it only occurred in males and caused folks to be nonverbal. I am neither male nor nonverbal. I hope to learn a lot and meet other people who are also aspies.

hi. welcome. what sorts of interests do you have?

My interests mainly are playing Magic: The Gathering and politics. I like collecting weapons, of which an antique straight kris is my favorite.

I, too, am interested in politics. any particular flavor?

Hi, I am new to the site and am trying to connect to those that might give me advice about Asperger's syndrome. I suspect I have this, but am not sure. I basically don't have friendships or relationships but not from lack of trying. I just don't connect to strangers. It takes me long periods to get used to someone before I "figure" them out and am able to connect personally.

I studied comparative politics in undergrad and international relations in grad school, but the politics of terrorism is where much of my interest lies. I work in politics in my home state, so I'm deeply involved in it, although it isn't my hobby per se.

Welcome. I too like magic, and swords... and a colt .45. I recently hand carved a wizard staff and wand out of spalted diamond willow. Looks like something out of a movie. I get tons of compliments from that piece. Very beautiful. I looked up all the info I could about how to "properly" make one for myself, and followed it to the letter just for fun. Even the way I looked for, and found it. It was fun. I have a real crystal ball too. Cannot figure out if any of this stuff actually works for anything, but it sure looks cool. People tell me I need to enter my stick in the art section at the fair, that should be fun too. My favorite sword is a double edged basket hilt. I am an excellent fencer. As for terrorism, I think it is mostly a scare tactic, and a propaganda tool devised by sociopaths in order to impliment personal or group agenda. If I was in government, and had to deal with a terrorist plot, I would go after the "terrorists" and the the people agitating, and interrogating them. (When dealing with a thief, the finger pointer is usually to blame). Have a great day.
