Hello, WrongPlanet community. I'm a young Aspie; I was diagnosed in my freshman year of high school (a couple years ago). I was also diagnosed with ADD and depression.
Before my diagnosis I was labeled as shy and gifted. No one thought I might have a disorder except for my aunt, but my mom was offended when she brought it up. I heard about Aspergers in a school assembly, thought it sounded like me, and told my parents, but they were skeptical until they saw a TV program about Aspergers.
My biggest interests are drawing, writing, anime, and anthropology. Since I was at least eight years old I've been interested in history. Now it's mostly ancient history, relics, ruins, and world cultures. I love museums. I watch the History Channel. I want to be an anthropologist someday (or a writer). Personality-wise I have a few triggers that seriously upset me, but outside of that I'm pretty laid-back and timid.
