I'm an NT, I only just found out that was a term. The rumours are true, being labeled IS weird. There's a trend in my life, that the men I become truly involved with all seem to be either ASD, or present with typical traits. It's just a pattern my friends started noticing, and I figured maybe there'll be some answers somewhere, so, why not here.
Thanks for having me.

Despite many good things and people, I don't much like this life - can I get a refund? Trying to deal with the grief and anger I'm feeling realising that I have been so unaware of those around me - who have I upset, who's next, what relationships have I never had that could have been, why has I only had a job and never a career, more that I can find words for right now?
What is your first name? Justin

Why are you here? Figuring things out, meeting people who ?get it?. Had a long difficult time this summer, a learning experience that came at great cost :/ one of the many helpful people i spoke to (among the many unhelpful...) suggested it might be worth considering/exploring, and it has been.
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): i've bounced from diagnosis to diagnosis for a long time, with varying degrees of success. I have strong, self-contradictory feelings about the medicalisation of neurodiversity that won't fit into this space.

Do you like sports? non-competitive physical activity is great, especially going from one place to another by human power, but as soon as there's a loser, i stop caring.
Family: I am very lucky and have two great parents and an older sister I can really count on. Here in Brighton it's just me and my very grumpy hedgehog.
Clothing: Jeans, plain-colour tshirts, tshirts with stags, stripey jumpers, trackies (not to work tho), trainers, etc. I do not own nor have i ever learnt how to tie a necktie.
How did you find this website? Poking around.
Job: arts academic... i love teaching but i would like to have more space in my life to make things, and people to make things with

What is your first name?
Age: 21
Location: Belgium
Hobbies and Interests:
- 3D arts (modelling, texturing, animating)
- programming (especially C++)
- unicycle trials, a serious sport when practised at a high level, but unfortunately still fairly unknown. It's receiving more attention over the years though.
- gaming, but not so much.
- baking/cooking
Why are you here? To learn to cope with the disadvantages of autism, and apply the tips/stories/information in real life.
When were you diagnosed?: around 2008 if I remember correctly. I was 15 years old.
Favorite subjects: (see hobbies)
Year/Grade:
- Did one year of Digital Arts and Entertainment in Kortrijk. Programming, math/physics and 3D arts were awesome. preproduction was terrible, because I suck at digital painting. I would never have gotten my degree.
- I'm trying to finish my second year of "applied information technology" in Leuven now (it's a three year programme). It's my third year here. Slowly, I'm getting there... The actual things I learn are easy as pie, but I'm having problems with time management and interpreting questions, or information in general . In my opinion, a degree (for IT people) doesn't mean much. I know 17 year olds, smarter than people with over two degrees. Unfortunately these people are worthless in today's society.
What I learn there is not all that interesting, and often I'm bored. But getting a degree is the only way to get a job nowadays.
Favorite music: celtic, folk, metal, folk metal, pirate metal, power metal, gothic metal, drumstep, chillstep, dubstep, metal, dubstep, drum and bass, trailer music, film music, game music, soundtracks, happy hardcore, nightcore... Aaaaaahh, all these subgenres are driving me crazy.
Books: over 30 books, all informational. I've read them all, from the first page till the last page: programming (C++, Java, C#, design patterns, data structures, OpenGL, DirectX...), algorithms, math, physics, SQL, texturing, 3D modelling/sculpting (3ds Max, Mudbox, ZBrush), digital art showcases, animal wildlife, fishing, baking...
TV shows/Movies: The only series I watch is Person of Interest. I love all kinds of movies really.
Instrument: /
Do you like sports? yes, unicycling. No, I'm not a clown. No, I'm not in a circus.
Family: My parents are divorced, but I love them both very much . I have one sister. She's 23 years old. I live with my mother, but regularly visit my father. Both me, my sister, and my father have ASD.
Clothing: Black, black, and black. With some white and red here and there. I don't like shirts with text. Most of my clothing has a solid color. I do like dragons very much though
How did you find this website? I googled "eyecontact tips autism", or something like that, lol xd
Job: /
Plans for the future? getting a degree and start working as soon as possible

Early 2009.

28
Location:
England, The United Kingdom, Earth, The Milky Way, Local Cluster, The Universe
Hobbies and Interests:
Computers, Psychology, Reading, Writing, Singing, Rapping, Problem Solving, Learning, Teaching, Helping others.
Why are you here?
Honestly? I'm kinda lost
When were you diagnosed?
A few months ago.
Favourite subjects:
Languages, Psychology etc.
Year/Grade:

Books:
Science Fiction and Fantasy mostly.
TV shows/Movies:
Anything with good characters, mostly psychological, sci-fi or fantasy though.
Instrument:
Voice
Do you like sports?
To a degree, but I dislike people getting distracted by it and shouting about it, it's mostly mindless entertainment if one is merely watching/listening/reading about it and not actually participating in it, I have a great dislike when people say "We" when talking about a team they support as they didn't do anything in my opinion.
Family:
Yes though I don't feel this special connection one is supposed to feel, I find it easy to relate only to those who make an effort and don't just assume the relationship is automatically going to work, those who try to understand and communicate a lot and work on themselves with a lot of self reflection.
Clothing:
Anything that feels comfortable with positive colours and nice designs.
How did you find this website?
I've known about it for some time, but decided to join due to recently being diagnosed.
Job:
No.
Plans for the future?
I don't really know, just continue to live.
Any comments?
Please ask me any questions.
