Hey there, after signing up a few days ago I've been thinking I should probably go about introducing myself, so here it goes!
I'm a nineteen year old American (male), about two months ago I was professionally diagnosed with Aspergers. Although I've only recently been diagnosed, I know a few people who also have it. I was actually very comforted after having a diagnosis, after spending a good portion of my life with extreme anxiety/depression among other things, I'm glad to know what condition I have. I've been lurking on the forums for a bit now, but I figured it was about time I introduce myself. Moving forward though. I was born with an extremely rare heart condition, the technical term is extreme tetraology a fallot, plus pulmonary atresia. Basically, I was born without a pulmonary artery, and almost died at birth. So far I've had four open heart surgeries (my first being at two days old) and I'm going to have to have another in 3-4 years. I do well in my day to day activities, and I'm surprisingly not very limited in what I can do. As long as I don't take part in extremely physically demanding activities or contact sports.
I spend most of my time reading or doing things with my computer, along with spending as much time with my boyfriend as I can. I've been extremely fond of video games from a very young age, I've always attributed my liking to video games and computers as an alternative for not being able to do sports and a lot of things other kids could do. I'm not sure where else to go with this, so I'll end it here. I'll gladly answer questions if anyone has any though. Thanks for reading ^_^
