Hello,

I joined this forum because I am in love with a man with AS. I am a 36 year old NT woman with an advanced degree in Psychology and I run a private clinical practice and also teach college classes. I have a lot of "information" about AS but I have realized that integrating that into day-to-day life with someone neurologically quite different from me is challenging! I find myself "knowing better" but still taking certain things he does (or does not do) personally. Anyway, I look forward to sharing information and perspective with people in this community.

Thank you!

Christy

Thanks everyone! @cathylynn I'm interested in health and fitness, yoga, hiking, naturopathic medicine/neuroscience, science fiction and fantasy, history, anthropology. That's just off the top of my head. I'm usually reading approx 3 books at once, all different genres.

i learned about the mediterranean diet from newsletters such as harvard women's health watch, johns hopkins mind, mood, and memory, and tufts health and nutrition newsletter. the diet is heavy on fruits and vegetables. it includes fish at least twice per week, some poultry and very little red meat. nuts and olive oil are featured, as are whole grains. benefits have been shown in less cardiovascular disease and dementia.
