And also I believe this future has just arrived, the good future is now; no more sufferings, no more tears, a happy aspie age just now!

I agree we need new times. The materialistic / consumer age is not making people happy!

the coup is staged inside one's attitudes and you ARE part of the revolution, Sopho. You greet newly found Aspies every day into WP and see how we are all drawn here,young parients with anxious questions about their children, young adults learning to cope with 'being out' in a work or school setting - how even older people like me are finding out there were others out there like us . . . for the first time.

It's like that scene from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" where all the lost are found again coming back to Earth out of the Mother Ship. You ARE the revolution!

well, I think it is only an aspie way.

My computer is fryed but as soon as "he" wakes up we wiill go to the revolution!! !

We aspies can do the close encounters of the fourth kind, and fifth and so on!! !

Seems to me very obvious that the new times must come soon, and that these times are aspie times. Anyway, seems also, that we are very... blodless by now well, perhaps it is still not the time ... yeah, we will probably have to wait one more week for the new age!

evolution, not revolution?
It seems to me that NTs evolved to be wired the way they are because there was an early survival benefit.
Maybe AS wiring is the next evolution, but we don't yet clearly recognize the benefit....

There is a site that I found when I was researching ADHD and AS in children. I don't know if I put the name of the site here but view neurobiological differences in children as the next step in the chain of evolution. They call these children "indigo children".

Basically, the man who has been studying these children has noticed that a great many of them talk about visions, and predictions. These are intelligent, sane kids who are given the chance to talk freely of what they see and experience. Many young children talk of these things,, but of course it is taboo to do that in most homes in our society. My own children and I have experienced many of these things and I normally do not talk about them. I'm sure there are many on WP who have also experienced such things as children.

From reading about the theories expressed there and reading what the members of this site say, I don't know that it is such a far-fetched theory. If a normal, NT, person only utilizes approx. 10% of the human brain, and genius 20%, wouldn't it stand to reason that removing the emotional and social aspects of the mind to make room for intellect and logic makes sense from an evolutionary stand point. And if the emotional and social are out of the way wouldn't the psychic ability that most humans have the possibility of be easier to nurture and use?

There is a shift in the thinking of the human race that is leaning more and more toward spiritual enlightenment. I don't mean the religious kind. I mean the kind that embraces the true potential of the human mind and soul. As more and more neurobiologically diverse people are born ( I produced 3 myself) our way of being will become more and more the norm and at one point we will all "fit" in society. There are many articles about how more and more children of computer technicians and scientists are being dx.ed as autistic because people with the genes and autistic personality are having children together. Some call it an epidemic, but what if it isn't? What if it is how the evolution of humans needs to be in order to progress?

The "10 percent" idea is a misconception. People may only be using a portion of the brain at any given second, but it all gets used. The real estate in the cranium is too valuable to go to waste. Because space in the brain is at such a premium, enhanced capability in one area or function can sometimes mean a tradeoff in another area. So, your idea has merit, for example: brain resources not devoted to social cognition could theoretically be devoted to extending other cognitive capabilities.

Wow, human evolution is a "burning subject" very difficult to talk about, anyway...

I believe some aspie traits are being incorporated at the NT pool, meanwhile other AS traits are being filtered and disapearing. But...

The most incredible evolutionary event that I know is the human inteligence raise over the twentieth century!! ! It is unbelieveble, nothing in evolution compares to it!! !

In my poor opinion the use of the world "evolution" by biologists was a bad choice, they should have preferred transmutation, that didnt let subintended the concept of good, but, this is another story...

I am not really mystic nor religious, anyway at 1993 I imagined an absurd group of autists not damaged that had superpowers. When many years after it I heard about AS, the only thing that surprised me was the heritability of its traits.

I dont think we are the evolution, we have always beeen around. Being the thinkers for the NTs. and inspiring them to think. We might evolve into a different caste of humanity.
