What is your first name?

Ricky

Age:

Mid 20s, though I still feel like I'm 10 years old on the inside XD

Location:

North-West England

Hobbies and Interests:

Roleplaying, computer gaming, composing music

Why are you here?

Because I wanted to find some friends on the spectrum who I can empathise with.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder):

Couple years back. I'm bad at remembering exact dates.

Favorite subjects:

Maths, Music & Physics

Year/Grade:

Dropped out of Uni. Was studying Astrophysics.

Favorite music:

Heavy Metal

Books:

I have a massive collection of Star Wars books

TV shows/Movies:

I love sci-fi. Watch a lot of things like Stargate, Star Trek and Farscape.

Instrument:

I play keyboard, but I'm no beethoven. I struggle with the multitasking needed to properly co-ordinate two hands at once, and I'm also too clumsy to be overly spectacular, but I'm good enough for composing purposes.

I love hearing the violin, but I just can't play string instruments because it really hurts my fingers.

Do you like sports?

I like motor sports. Formula 1 was one of my big obsessions (the year 1998 to be exact... though I got over that by secondary school). I never really watched it when it was my obsession, but I was focused on the drivers and teams and used to simulate races with toy cars and pen/paper. The only thing that stopped me from simulating the races was that my parents threw out my huge toy car collection. I still haven't forgiven them. Nowadays, I watch Formula 1 regularly and occasionally check in on the World Rally Championship.

Family:

There's my mum, my dad, my younger brother and two younger sisters. None of them are on the spectrum. We also have a dog, and she's my favourite XD.

Clothing:

I generally wear whatever and prefer plain black clothes that are comfortable or offer decent utility (lots of pockets!). However, when I go out, I wear a leather trench coat and fancy New Rock boots. They're getting kinda worn though, so I bought a new outfit for that. I don't care about fashion or looking cool to other people, I just want to wear clothes that appeal to my own tastes.

How did you find this website?

Googling about Autistic stims, actually XD

Job:

Unemployed and on support benefits (was deemed unfit for work on account of anxiety and workplace communication difficulties)

Plans for the future?

None, really. I suppose I really need to get over my anxiety before I can start thinking that far ahead.

Any comments?

Not really.
