Questions about you
What is your first name? Kirill
Age: 20 (born 1984)
Location: Cardiff, UK
Hobbies and Interests: Math, Computer Science, Physics, Music (composition & playing violin), Languages (Welsh, Esperanto, old Russian)
Why are you here? I believe I have Aspeger's.
When were you diagnosed? Have not been formally diagnosed yet.
Favorite subjects: Discrete mathematics, topology (a "bonus" course), real and complex analysis, functional equations, analytic geometry, linear algebra.
Year/Grade: 2nd year university student.
Favorite music: from Bach to Offenbach, as my grandmother used to say.
Dmitry Shostakovich played a very special role in my life.
Books: It appears, I spend more time in the Music Library then in the Threvitick (Engineering) Library.
TV shows/Movies: I don't have a favorite one.
Instrument: I play violin.
Do you like sports? If so, which ones? Chess!
Family: Mother, father. Parents got divorced when I was 7. My father's second wife is a really nice woman and her side of the family is not bad either. BTW, I was in love with her niece (i.e. my stepcousin) for about 5 years since I first met her; ended tragically this summer (actual failure took place between 27 July 2004 17:30 -- 1 September 2004 23:50) when I tried to "improve" our "relationship".
Clothing: Mostly formal.
How did you find this website? Google.
Job: Don't have one yet. I'm planning to work in software industry (realistic), or become a composer (less realistic). Also wanted to work for a company which builds pipe organs (R. von B. to be precise) as a hardware/software engineer and/or for a software company which makes music notation software -- fusion of interests would be great. Either way, lonely job preferred.
Plans for the future? To become a composer (see above)
Any comments? Nothing much to say.

What is your first name? Jen
Location: A Very Small Town, Wisconsin
Hobbies and Interests: Reading, writing, music, movies, geography, history. science...pretty much everything
Why are you here? Asperger Disorder
When were you diagnosed? (skip if you don't have a disorder): My mom read an article in a magazine about a man with Asperger's and said it sounded just like me. I was 19 at the time (I am 20 now). I did more research on it and am pretty sure I have it, but there aren't too many places in my area to get a diagnosis.
Favorite subjects: English, history, art and biology
Favorite music: Everything, especially 90's alt, classic rock, soul, bluegrass and hip hop. Elton John, Allison Krauss, and Cold are my absolute faves
Books: All kinds; I'd have to say my favorites are the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel, anything by Michael Crichton and Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. I've gotta admit I like children's books too b/c they always have a great message and are so innocent and so wise
TV shows/Movies: All kinds of movies...everything from the classics to now- pretty much everything; I don't watch much t.v but I like the Simpsons and SNL and the discovery channel and public television
Instrument: I've tried some in the past but playing instruments doesn't seem to be my forte
Do you like sports? Love 'em...I love running, skiing, rollerblading, hiking...not too good at team sports but I like to play them anyway
Family: An awesome, fun, close family...mom, dad, a sister and a brother, none with AS (although I have a few relatives who show traits) but they think I'm a hoot sometimes
Clothing: Anything fun or funky or different...and warm
How did you find this website? Just by searching...it's the kind of site I didn't expect to find but I'm glad I did
Job: I go to college and flip burgers on weekends
Plans for the future? I'm a little undecided
Any comments? I am 4'10'' and lovin it

What is your first name?
Jay.
What is your age?
25.
Where do you live?
Alexandria, Virginia (United States).
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love games in general, but I have a particular fetish for role-playing games. Since beginning my professional career, I have also developed quite an obsession with accumulating money, so topics such as investing, personal finance, and economics greatly interest me.
Why are you here?
I'm fairly certain that I have Asperger's Syndrome.
When were you diagnosed?
I haven't been. I have been aware of Asperger's Syndrome for less than one week.
What are/were your favorite subjects in school?
Classes focusing on human behavior, science, history, and economics had a tendency to interest me the most. The most useful course I have ever taken, however, is keyboarding.
What is your education level?
I have an MBA with a concentration in finance. Hopefully that will be enough formal education for one lifetime.
What is your favorite type of music?
My tastes in music have broadened considerably since my youth. Certain melodies tend to be particularly pleasant for me, and I tend to gravitate toward listening to them. This doesn't seem to be restricted to any particular genre of music as they are defined today, however. There are a few genres that I do particularly dislike, though.
What are your favorite books?
I haven't read a novel during the last several years. I used to read DragonLance novels when I was in middle school and high school. Animal Farm seemed to be a good book, as well. Perhaps I'll read 1984 someday if I become motivated. I've been told that it's good.
What are your favorite TV shows?
I love Dragonball and Dragonball Z. During my youth, my favorite television show was Married with Children. I like the Family Guy, Futurama, and The Simpsons, although The Simpsons is grossly overrated. I also enjoy watching documentaries on the Science Channel, the National Geographic Channel, or any other channel that offers them. Documentaries are hit or miss, though, as I only like watching those that focus on subjects that interest me.
What are your favorite movies?
Pulp Fiction, The Army of Darkness, The Shawshank Redemption, Death to Smoochy, Fight Club, and The Game are a few of my favorites.
Do you play an instrument?
I used to play the clarinet when I was in middle school. I wasn't good at it, and I didn't particularly like it, either.
Do you like sports?
I dislike sports, and I lack the motor skills to be any good at most of them. I've been trying to exercise daily recently, though.
Do you have a family?
I am single, and I am beginning to wonder if the type of relationship I have desired all of my life is possible. I have a mother and sister who live hundreds of miles away from me. I speak with them over the phone approximately once a month and visit them in person around once a year. I do not know my biological father, as I was conceived through the process of artificial insemination. I do not know any of my relatives on my mother's side of the family, either.
What type of clothing do you wear?
I wear a suit when I go to work. I find formal clothing to be extremely uncomfortable. However, since most people tend to judge others based on superficial appearances, I make an effort to appear as "professional" as possible when I am in a work environment. On the weekends, I will wear jeans and a T-shirt if the weather is warm. I will sometimes wear a sweater or jacket over the T-shirt if the weather is cooler.
How did you find this web site?
I have recently conducted quite a bit of Internet research on Asperger's Syndrome. I don't remember exactly how I first reached this site. The most likely suspects are that I reached it through a link from another Asperger's Syndrome web site or that I reached it through a link provided by a Google search.
What is your occupation?
Officially, I'm called a Financial Management Analyst Intern. I work for the U.S. government in the Department of Defense. I just started my professional career approximately one year ago. The intern program lasts two years, during which I am exposed to various training courses and rotational assignments. After the internship ends, I am assigned to an office somewhere within the Department of the Army. Unfortunately, I currently have no idea of where this assignment will be or what type of work I will be doing at that point in time.
What are your plans for the future?
My two most important goals right now are to establish a meaningful relationship with someone who I'm at least somewhat compatible with and to accumulate as much money as possible. I also have other goals related to my career. I'm trying to find a financial management function within the government that particularly appeals to me (this is difficult, because I'm not even aware of what type of jobs are available). I will develop further career goals at the conclusion of my internship when I am permanently assigned to an office.

What is your first name? I can tell you that my nickname here (msmartie) is just the yahoo id (got by my wife) used to join this forum. It doesn't mean anything to me.
Age: older then 35, younger then 40
Location: Italy
Hobbies and Interests: the world of mistery: parapsichology, criptozoology, ufology. I like the gore atmospheres...I like horror movies.
That's my childlike part.
But I do like also history, geography, computer, traveling (I've been in 38 different Countries). I'm very much interested in politics too.

I still hope I can change her opinion, but I've no much time as she is already 32,5 years old and to get pregnant over 35/36 could be too risky for her. I'm afraid one day she could regret not having taken that step.
Clothing: casual, ...in spite of my work...
How did you find this website? surfing on internet
Job: logistic management
Plans for the future? Since my son's diagnosis (two years ago) my life changed completely. I've lost many of my interests. I stopped collecting, I stopped traveling. I stopped my career (or, rather, I did some steps back ! !) The fact is that I don't think I can aim to be happy anymore, but to have happy moments only. The meaning of future has changed. I can't imagine it and I prefer not to plan.
Any comments? thank you for this great site
