I guess I can't really say I'm new here anymore since I've been on here for almost two months. But I need to get this off my chest, I'm really nervous about actually writing anything here. I'd really like to participate more in the various discussions and threads there are on this website. But I can't bring myself to do that, I don't even know where to start! I feel like if I say anything it's just going to look dumb and not worth anything more than a passing glance. How do I overcome this?

I felt the same way you do, Andrew. Perhaps due to social anxiety. I think I started posting, initially, in the games forum, which happens to be a fun place to spend time. Find some games that you like, and start participating. From there, post in one of the topics you find of interest. If you post and feel anxious after leaving your post, you can delete it if soon enough, afterward, or you can simply edit it/delete the text and write edit, or something similar.
: ). Welcome, by the way!

I'm fairly new here but I feel like I should reply because I had similar apprehensions at first. This is a community full of people who understand the plight of the socially abnormal. I find it helpful to not try to overanalyze my comments and just post whatever is on my mind. This is largely a very nonjudgmental community :D

It won't look dumb at all, just type whatever you feel you have to offer and we will do the same and hopefully establish a rapport :D

Hi, welcome! Just look through the different forums and reply to threads you relate to. I'm sure no one will think what you write is dumb.

I'm sorry it's been awkward for you, as if our lives aren't awkward enough. I'm especially sad for you if you really feel like you're in hell on such a consistent basis to have it as your location. I feel like I've been there plenty of times, but it comes and goes. Maybe you weren't being serious. I hope that's the case, but in any case, I'm glad to chat.
