Hey, I'm a 22yo male who has never really reached out to other members of the autism spectrum community before but find myself looking for a safe place to be me. I was diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of 10 by a psychologist in my school district and, needless to say, have experienced my share of ostracism and bullying related to my difficulties navigating social situations. I am currently living in a major city in the Pacific Northwest as an exchange student but I am previously from the east coast of Australia. I am pursuing a career in the creative and media industries in roles that can be very socially demanding, and have recently reached a significant barrier in my social life that has made me feel isolated. I am looking for a community where my issues can be understood and accepted, and to learn ways in which to cope.

In response to TheAP, what interests me most is working in the area of radio production, particularly highly produced work like documentaries and spoken word pieces.

In response to VYcma, I do dabble, with a preference for open world and sandbox games.

Thank to everyone else for responding. I'm facing kind of an emotional crisis related to my Aspergers so I was just wondering where would be the best forum area to go through it with other people.
