I recently came across a few articles on Asperger's in girls and lights went on all over. In the months since that I have listened to and read everything I could find on the topic and while I don't think I need a diagnosis at this point, I think I do need a community.
I am not comfortable talking about the fact that I am likely on the autism spectrum with people in my real life. I only discussed it with my husband and best friend and they agreed but don't think it is important - I have lived this long with it so I should just carry on coping as well as I can. Maybe they are right but everyday life can be so hard in ways that don't seem to trip up most people and I would like to find out things that have worked for others.
