I wanted just to ask,
why is this forum called "Wrong Planet"?

I found WP because in my interest in time perception in autism / aspergers.

Welcome! It is called "Wrong Planet" because many autistic people feel like we're on the wrong planet--like we don't fit in with the other humans on Earth.

Welcome to WP Sethian!

The AP is quite right. We have our own planet.

TheAP's basically got it in a nutshell.

Either way, I wish you welcome on my behalf. :D

Small clarification: each of us is our own planet. Here is the only place where there are other people who understand that the one we're trapped on to act out our daily lives is not the one we live on.

I respect your right to have that opinion, but I don't share it. I just want to say that, since we have a newbie here. Not all aspergians see things this way. I don't feel trapped at all, and I don't feel like my planet is a solitary one. In fact, I've been rather enjoying getting to know other aspies, with whom I have so much in common.

Thanks for your replies.

Maybe we all feel a bit,
like this is the wrong planet.

Some more than others.
It's nothing like I ever expected.

But hey,
make the most of it!

I have a strange perception of time.
To me, everything can exist at once.
Or take a long time, or very little.

This is why I am in this forum.
I believe some can slow it down,
to perform extraordinary feats.

It has to do with the nature of time.

Time doesn't seem to be set in stone.

People have experienced time slips, and gone backwards or forwards in time.

It's an interesting thought because what we see on the clock isn't always true.

I think we sometimes travel through time while dreaming!

Welcome :)

I'm interested in time perception too, especially time slips. I believe all time exists at once/time is a construct rather than a fact, therefore glitches in our perception of it are something to be acknowledged and investigated.

Nice to meet you :)
