Hello, I am Cyneth but some of you may know me as "spinner" from #asperger and #autism on irc. I used to chat there a lot in 1999 to 2001 but since then have been distracted by other things (I check in once in a while). I also was a member of Claire's aut-univ mailing list. I also post as Cyneth on the Nexus synesthesia chatboard. I live in the Bay Area and am a member of Autastics irl. I have an essay published in Dawn Prince-Hughes' book (the one that mentions synesthesia) and am quoted a bit in Claire's book Martian in the Playground. I was dx'd professionally in 2000, but was described as "austistic-like" when I was a child (before there was an AS dx). I would use my irl name but I am unsure of how public to be about my autism because I can pass for neurotypical 80% of the time and I am unsure how professionally it would be evaluated in academia and I have had some trouble lately with job interviews and the like (a few know, but not many).

Anyway, I'd like to know if any of my old friends from #asperger are here....I would like to get in touch with Dr Stein, Bexxie, Dogaroo, Marianne (from London), and Mercator.....any of you here????
