Quoting myself...

I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome today. AS is still used in Sweden in some (or most, I'm not sure) places since they are using ICD-10 and not DSM-V.

Greetings, almost three years later

...my life has been quite miserable since september 2016, but I'm slowly starting to recover now.

I had two weeks of vacation last year and was working 25% combined with studies at 100%. This year I've been working 50% for some time, combined with studies. That's no good. :(

Finally, I'm on vacation and trying to sanitize my life. It's going quite well, but I'm extremely stressed out.

#homevacation

well keep your head down
the study will come to an end
all things are transionary
if you find things too tough
i recommend finding a doctor who understands autism and asperger syndrome
who does medicate
and ultimately don't worry too much
as qualifications are useful
but not always essential in many areas
your college should also make allowances for you if you have a diagnosis
such as giving you extensions etc
cheers

Thanks for the reply!

I've had a really, really bad doctor who even gave me Anafranil (horrible medicine from the 50's with really bad side effects) which I didn't even take. I won't go back to her.

I have an appointment with a doctor on the 28th of august. He is no expert on Asperger's Syndrome, but have a decent understanding of it.

I tried to extend my final project at the school but I got a final deadline on the 2-something of august and it stresses me too much so I won't do it. :( I don't need the courses for work (I'm a programmer and studied electronics), but it feels at bit miserable to fail at this course.

But, whatever, I do have some moments of happiness, at the moment. This is probably due to change tough.

Welcome,

I have the same allergy to full time work, its a recipe for a breakdown for me. I can't handle the stress of it.

Howdy!

Yep. Full time work is no more, ever. However, I always spend quite a bit of time doing unpaid "work" in my spare time, but it gives me more energy than it takes.

These days I, sort of, know how to limit the time and energy I spend in these unpaid "projects". I didn't back in the days. :(
...and I always stop doing it when it's not fun anymore.
