Hi,

My name is Adam and I'm a NT. I live in Illinois but currently I'm going to Michigan State University and majoring in cultural anthropology. I lived in Prescott, Arizona last semester -- which is incredibly glorious. I'd like to get back to that soon.

Based on a chance meeting with an Aspy child at a doctors office I'm now interested in researching Autism and potentially meeting people who are Autistic. Are there groups of Aspies who meet regularly around the globe?

I'm heading out to run now, but perhaps I'll post some information on my background a little later. :)

Cheers,
-Adam

Incidentally, my school's initials are MSU (Midwestern State University).

Nice to meet you, Adam. :)

To answer your question, I think WP would be the place for the Aspies and other autism spectrum people would meet. Otherwise, I really do not have an answer then.

Thanks guys! I'm a big fan of Meatwad too. I'm listening to the ATHF movie soundtrack right now. The movie was alright. My favorite episode is kidney car.

Oh and I should mention I've been through Wichita Falls. In Oklahoma City I got on the wrong interstate and ended up in Wichita Falls. So I drove straight up to Amarillo.

The only time I've been to Indiana was for the Darfur Fort Wayne rally. Apparently there is a sizeable population of Darfurians there. Who knew? Oh and I briefly touch Indiana as I move from Illinois to Michigan.

Hi, I used to live in Prescott also, up on Lynx Lake Road. The "Pink Car" was on our property. Miss" Granite Dells" the most, loved it there. Don't miss the heat at all (Live in Alaska, better not miss the heat :D ). Have a 6 year old autistic daughter, and all her therapists say I have Aspergers, the "Online Tests" only support their theory.Hope you like it here. Everyones really nice

Pink car? Is that hippy culture? :) While I was there a few kids from PC would ride double bikes. That is, two bikes put together and then ridden for comic effect.

The "Pink Car" was a landmark sorta, It was an old car from like the 20's or 30's, (I always thought of Bonnie and Clyde when I saw it) that was painted the color of Pepto-Bismal. When we tried to have it towed off there was a huge uproar and we had to leave it. Turns out that's how everyone described where they lived," 1 mile past the pink car, when you get to the pinkl car veer left, ect.ect." It was about 8 miles up Lynx Lake Road, past "Big Bug Mesa" on the left side. Maybe they've moved it. this was back in the early 90's before the road was even paved out there all the way. I HATE to drive thru Amarillo Texas cause the stockyards make me sad and stink so much.

Greetings from Prescott, AZ (I actually live in Chino Valley). This is a beautiful area, isn't it? I love the blue skies and big fluffy clouds. I had a good friend at MSU back in the 1970's, when I attended Indiana University (Bloomington). We kept arguing which campus was prettier. Good luck in your studies. It seems that there are a lot of "Aspies" like me at large universities, as we are prone to spending a lot of time researching, rather than socializing. I guess you are lucky that you like to do both!
