Why are you here? I'm struggling with transitioning into adulthood / independence, thought I may find some advice and community
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 3rd grade, so maybe around 2006
Favorite subjects: Broadly English and History. I've researched and written a lot about Black American literature, labor history, "radical" literature of the early 20th century, and post-colonial theory and literature
Year/Grade: Graduated with a BA in 2020
Favorite music: I love jazz and funk, hip-hop, and some new wave and that weird era of "punk"-ish "no wave" type bands
Books: Anything by Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o or Italo Calvino, but I can always appreciate Kurt Vonnegut, Toni Morrison, and plenty of newer writers published by small presses
TV shows/Movies: Fargo (tv show and movie), Sorry to Bother You (movie), Bacurau (movie), Barton Fink (movie), A Very Secret Service (tv show), Seinfeld (tv show)

I'm a bit of an introvert, and for most of my life I've typically shied away from socializing with others
But I've come to realize that I shouldn't let that stop me from trying to make friends. The reason for that is best summed up by this quote I found while browsing: "I don't mind being alone. But I hate feeling lonely."

When were you diagnosed: 1994 or a few years later. I am not sure anymore. It is to long ago.
Favorite subjects: everything related to my hobbies and interests and human beings in general.
Year/Grade: MBO, IT. MBO is for "dumb" people. MBO requires you to be skilled, know a lot, but understandig everything you know (like at university) is less important.
Favorite music: I like all sorts of music.
Books: horror, fantasy and science fiction.
TV shows/Movies: mostly fantasy and science fiction because in my opinion most horror movies suck.
